Makaveli
ok this is gonna sound realy strange... Does anyone know if its possible to get an AEG that semi auto only. See where i come from, NewZealand all full autos are illegal... this includes guns that once were full auto. I really need a AEG thats semi only. Any help appreciated, Makaveli
Wege
Makaveli, you are restricted to getting in a PSG1 and maybe modding the ###### out of that. Customs have had their hands on it, and passed onto the Police, and then passed on to the owner. It is legit. Come chat to us at www.airsoft.net.nz .. am in the process of getting the site listed here too.
chicouk
if it is a m16 series then u can get a metal body which only allows u to select single shot at my local airsoft site the sniper rifles basically has a screw which is drilled in to the fire selector switch so it prevents the switch from going past from single to auto. smart idea really but it still doesnt prevent you from using auto fire sorry if this isnt much help
jahoot
in nz even if the fire selector is welded to only allow it to go to semi or blocked some other way i believe it's still illegal
Wege
Its a fuzzy area. All those parts coming into the country, because they are for a restricted weapon, they themselves are restricted. This includes things such as magazines. Grrr. If you own one and it has been semied, the general understanding is that it will be legal, or at least 'grey'! :|
Makaveli
man nz has silly laws... umm Wege ill join up with airsoft.net.nz tonight. hmm is it possible to fit a psg1 inside a springer m16 body... just wonderin? Thanks
Wege
I would think that it is pointless to try to do that. I mean, why do that?.. Why not just mod the buggery out of the PSG1, make it shorter, easier to carry etcetc
Makaveli
rather than the psg1 wouldnt the G&p SR25 be more practical to mod? are these any good?
Pato
I guess you could just order a gun from a german retailer. The laws in Germany are pretty much the same. Retailers in Germany sell Tokio Marui and Classic Army guns that are modified so that they can fire single fire only what makes them legal here.
Rikkster
rather than the psg1 wouldnt the G&p SR25 be more practical to mod?are these any good? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They're ace, but bloody expensive. If you get one you won't need to mod it further (except maybe add-on bits).
