Hello everyone,

I'm Rodney, very new to this airsoft thing - only done it once so far on a very small scale with some friends. Have done some paintballing in the past.

What gun should I get and will someone let me join their team?

I am a very friendly guy who's fun to be with. I make friends easily and love meeting people and doing new things. I have a dog called Barney and live with my mum, Doreen, who thinks my airsoft hobby is 'evil' (silly old mare).

I have some old army clothes -whats the best kit to wear?

Hello, I'm George (I know its an old fashioned sounding name but please don't take the you know what out of it).

Just turned 19, from Devon, always been a bit of a paintball fan but since I did a airsoft skirmish a few months ago I've found it much more enjoyable (and less painful).

Bought a second hand ICS M4 in october after doing that skirmish and my Mum and Dad and Gran chipped in and bought me an m249 for xmas.

I also like pyro's so if anyone knows a shop or website that sells pyro's as cheap as chips I'd be very interested.

Hi guys darthmalc here.

Been playing about 2 years now up here in sunny scotland (played at sennybridge 2004, only venture so far down south).

I am 33 xxxl (waist, and height), ex TA, loving husband and father of 3 kids under 6 (lots of sleepless nights).

Started working for a popular paintball company about 2 years ago as a marshal and am now the assistant manager of the site in Glasgow. Love paintball and love airsoft. :D

I can blame just one guy for my slippery descent into the fun of this sport and he also works on the same site, gave me a go of his CAMp5 and TM Fa-mas and i was hooked.

My personal theme is Us Special forces and i try and go for authenticity in this theme. Still sorting out my loadout through trail and error.

Have owned so far a TM M4a1RIS, TM G3SG1, KSC Glock 17 and an ICS MP5SD6.

I usually play at least once a week, and love every minute of it.

Being ex military i love the Mil-sim style of gaming, lo-caps, single shots and limited ammo.

No mos or hi-cap mags for me, Stars all the way guys, only having 30 bbs really makes you pick your shots and you'd be amazed at the amount of kills you get over the "spray and pray brigade".

Love the sport so much that i've just recently started my own team "Snowdragons UK (Scotland) have had lots of help from the Canadian Snowdragon team and we are part of their international team.

Our theme is the Royal Marines SBS, only got 5 members at the minute but we will be recruiting soon from our mates.

I am also part of "The Ghosts" paintball scenario team as well.

No wonder that i'm tired Two teams a full time job and 3 kids.

Oh well just got to make the most of my time. :D

I will be enjoying this forum and looking forward to speaking to everybody :):)

Hi everyone, my name is Vitor "vhcs" Soares, and I play airsoft since March 2005.

I come from Portugal, from the sunny and historical city of Évora. I'm 25, 1,84m and about 100kg (for those not into the metric system, a tall, big boy hehe).

I'm one of the founders of the E.T.F., the Évora Task Force, one of the airsoft teams in the city, and a HUGE ak fan, even though my teams theme is the Portuguese Army (Darker Woodland Camo, G3 SG1 or G36 Rifles, S.A.A.V. vest or Y \ H harness).

We went fot this theme (besides the obvious reason of being Portuguese) because we play mostly in Deep Forest cenarious.

Our team organizes games from Regional Events to informal team practices, and we have as an objective to practice airsoft in a fun and honorable way.

So if any of you are ever in our backyard, give us a call so you can came play with us, everyone is wellcome.

Greetings.

My name is Brady, callsign Necronomicon, or Necro for short. I've been playing airsoft since late 2000, when I first discovered the world of springers. 2 years later, after toying around with them and not really getting into the sport as much as I am now, due to a lack of players in my area, I got into gas guns and AEGs.

Around sometime in 2003, I made the move to AEGs by purchasing my first one - a P90. What started after that was an addiction that would never quell itself. My friends and I started a squad thereafter called Covenant, which was short lived after merging with another small team in my area to form a large team of good friends which would later become known as The Punishers.

Some of you may know me from the Airsoft Ohio forums, where I am a regular member and now a forum moderator. I've been lurking around the forums here for a long time actually, leeching off the vast amount of information on this site. Just recently I have decided to join and start posting.

Overall, I'm on my 12th AEG, had two dozen gas guns (my overall favorite) and too many springers to count...and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I played in Ohio for most of the time I have been in airsoft, and just met up with some local players down here in Florida. And yet again, I will move soon once more to Los Angeles, where I will continue to play airsoft and expand my knowledge and experience with the sport.

As far as my experience playing, I have been a squad leader/team commander ever since I started playing with an organized team. I never requested or tried for the role, I just seem to fall into it naturally. I feel naked on the field if I don't have a handful of cronies to do my dirty work for me. Overall, I have played almost every role - Squad Leader, Sniper, Countersniper, Recon and Support Gunner. Overall, my favorite role so far has been just a basic grunt with a few guys at my disposal, despite missing my sniper days more and more (Used an SVD that was WAY too hot to discuss on these forums, but man that gun was great). Since I have dropped from 255 to 177 pounds in the last year and a half (being 1.82M tall, or 6'0"), I have started to take on a more physical role of running and gunning rather than sitting and picking off my targets.

My goal is to learn more about gearboxes and the electrical components that make up AEGs. Just in the last few months I finally bit the bullet and opened a gearbox on my own, which ended up going pretty smoothly. I read and read on parts, upgrades and schematics on all kinds of models to prepare me for my ultimate goal: to open a small web-based business for upgrading and repairing airsoft guns. Though it will be a couple years before this can happen, that gives me plenty of time to learn all that I can.

Anyways, just thought I would introduce myself and tell everyone a bit of my history, and what I hope to gain from playing airsoft these last few years. Hopefully I will be able to continue on here to help out other players any way I can, while still learning everything I can in the process.

Peace,

Necro

Hey everybody my name is Evan and I live in America. I've recently discovered the sport of airsoft and I've got to say I'm extremely interested. But, alas, I'm a n00b, and all I have is a spring P99 :( . I'm going to be buying a UTG M324 rifle, because I like the challenge and the hunt involved in being a sniper. I believe that if I "grow up" in airsofting with a sniper rifle, then I'll be better than if I switched from a full-auto AEG to a M324 later on. Kinda like teaching your child two languages when they're young. Oh yeah, plus I'm a cheap 13-year-old with no job.

First of all let me say Hello to everyone. (new users and old hats) Everyone can call me Sunny (third generation owner of a nickname derived from my last name). My first exposure to airsoft was when I received a package from a buddy stationed in japan and in that package was a TM M16A1, way back in 1997. Since then I have been preaching the airsoft gospel from behind the counter at my hobby shop. I have a military background that is largely weapons related (USAF Combat Arms Training and Maintenance CATM). I like to see everyone so helpful and open to the fact that there are younger members of the forums, for our hobby to grow, we cannot alienate the youngsters. Myself and a youth Pastor, regularly supervise a group young players during the warmer times of the year (from Minnesota). Thanks for the read.

Hi Im Alex ( BobSpoons loggon )

Thought Id do the intro post :)

Live in Yorkshire UK. 30yrs old right now.

Have quite a few air rifles and pistols but so far only the one airsoft pistol. I joined this forum to find out more about the airsoft equipment and hopefully gain enough knowledge to expand my collection a bit.

I mainly go in for plinking with my gear as I rarely get the chance to go fo long shoots. The skirmishes do sound good though so maybe one day.

Anyway, not much else to tell really so see you all on the forum.

Cheers

Alex

:D Ok here goes. Hello to everyone on the forum.

I have posted before generally in the Sales Section getting cheap accessories etc from some great people and thought it about time for a formal introduction.

Well I'm MAD DOG (Adrian) live in West London and I suppose I started in airsoft towards the end of 2004 with a visit to Electroworkz with just a Glock pistol (got laced I have to add)

Since then I have only managed to return the once just before Christmas 2005 this time slightly better equiped with an MP5 AEG, body armour etc in my possesion. I believe I spoke to Ghost Rider on the night (that man has a pretty impressive arsenal...) and had a great time.

I hope to visit a woodland site in the not too distant future, and add to my arsenal.

Heya guys, my names Kyrian, and i'm a relative newbie at this. I'm a student a Chester uni, and i'm wonderin, are their any teams or clubs or sumthin of the like in Chester? Just wonderin, thats all.

I got my first Airsoft at a military fair, its a semi-automatic gas M190 Special Force, basically a replica of a Beretta 92F, black, with a silver barrel. I've also ordered a spring Mk 23 Mod0, the SOCOM pistol, which should be ariving within the next few days.

I've never been to any event, never skirmished, so i don't know what i'm doin in that sense. However, it looks fun, and i would love to get involved with it in some way. The only real constraint i can see is budget. I can't really afford anything atm, though once i get some money coming in, i should be ok.

Erm, well, intro over, any comments or any help u can give, just msg me

Thanx!!

Hello,

I'm pretty much new to Airsoft, I've had a few spring pistols before in the past and a Taurus PT92 AF electric pistol, but nothing major. I've just bought a new UTG M324S Sniper Rifle, with all the trimmings and had a few questions, so I thought I'd get invovled here. I have a little bit of a background in shooting, both full bore and small bore, because I was in the Cadets whilst at school aswell as captaining my school shooting team. I suppose that's why I bought a sniper rifle, and it's also why the idea of skirmishing appeals to me. Anyway, I look forward to getting involved,

All the best,

Gold Fish

Hello All,

My name is Alex. I'm 22 and live in Texas. I'm fairly new to the sport, and just recently bought my first gun( a UTG ver 3 MP5). I figured i would start off with something innexpensive and if i like it i will spend the needed cash to get a TM. I had a friend who was really into airsoft and always tried to get me into it, but at the time i was really big into paintball.

I had been into paintball for about 6 years and always used to reffer to airsoft as "paintball for puss***"... forgive me, but at the time i thought that was what it was. I realize now the error of my uninformed take on it. I decided to make the change from paintball to airsoft when i realized just how much money i was blowing on paintball. For the price i paid for my pro level paintball gun i could have bought 4 top end airsfot guns. plus the 80-90 dollars a case of paint i was buying every weekend was draining me.

I realized then that I could be having just as much fun playing airsoft as i was playing paintball for a fraction of the cost. hence i am here.

I found arnies while i was researching information on the UTG MP5, and i loooked around the forum and saw that most of the people here know what they are talking about and are at a maturity level that is higher than some of the other airsfot forums i have come across.

I am sure that i will find this forum and it's members helpful. :D

TM m9 samauri

KWA G19 w/metal slide

KSC USP compact

TM P226

Hello,

The names Leo and i come from leeds.

I was lured into the world of airsoft by my dad who got my first airsoft gun (springer) when i was 11, (the rules was a bit lax back then) then later on when i was attended school in HK, which i got my first GBB Colt .45

if you been to HK you will know what i mean, all those gun lining the wall. beautiful....

I then moved on to AEG, which reesulted in a customised G3A4 with a extended flash suppressor, upgraded internals and full metal body. kinda nice since i saved up for it all when i was just 15!

Gotta love HK.

played a many unprofessional skirmishes and 2 official ones.

But never here in UK, since i kinda lost track from all the university stuff i had to do.

Anyway looking forward to renewing this interest with the beautiful mp7a1! mmmmm....

:P

Hi My name is Martin and I am a 32yr old airsoft junkie

I started out many many years ago (sometime in late 80's early 90's) with a springer of a Colt 1911 that you had to build up as a kit from component parts, the topslide never did stay glued for long :P.

Then sometime in the mid 90's I got my first AEG TM MP5K .

Since then I have owned a variety of spring and GBB pistols and 4 different M16 variants.

After many years absence from the scene I recently went paintballing for a stag do, having got the bug it occurred to me 'why have i not been airsofting yet!?' Typical just as I get back into the scene the VCR bill is due to be passed.

I currently own the following guns

TM MP5K (first and favourite)

TM M4A1 (doesn't everyone and there dog have at least one variant?)

TM PSG-1 (sounds like an old rusty gate creaking in the wind)

Maruzen PPK x 2 (I am James Bond)

KSC M93R x 2 (mmm Full Auto)

CA M249 Para (this will keep me fit, and allows me to fulfill my Connors Fantasies)

WA Colt Commander (excellent build)

KSC USPc SD slide and Barrel (mmmmm metal)

On the wishlist

TM MP7 (on pre-order)

TM or CA GA36c with AG36 launcher

Full metal WA Colt of some description

I just hope I can afford to get all of the above before the VCR comes into effect

As soon as the weather gets a bit warmer I think I might be going to my first Airsoft Skirmish, quiet looking forward to it :D
