I actually have realised that i am lucky, because where i live they don't have Parcelforce delivering so all my stuff gets handed off to RM who deliver it like a SD delivery and actually bother to knock on the door and leave attempted delivery notices :P

As for what has annoyed me this week, why can't stalkers just go away, seriously, why can't some people just get the damn hint? :D

Add to that i have been back for a few days and am already the top poster, about 3 times that of the one below me :P

But... You said we could be together forever.

You said you loved me...

I say that to a lot of people / animals / things, only you can't handle it :P

As for mine not so much a rant as an observation, i was looking at booking a one night stay in a traditional Scottish guest house in Edinburgh and decided to look at the comments, all of which were good aside from one American couple that complained of the TV not having enough channels, that they didn't like that they got a full English included (they claimed all Americans don't like English breakfasts) and that they couldn't understand the locals or the owners, probably as they all spoke English. How is it every other nation can expect all these things but not couples from the USA :P

Ugh. What happened to the good old days where you bought a printer and the drivers were on the CD?

Now the disk only contains an installer that downloads the software from the internet.

Its fine for them town-dwelling broadband types, but out here the internet is less than stellar. :(

Really, well tell me the make and i will get them off the net and send them to you on a memory stick, might be quicker than downloading :P

Plus you get a free memory stick, i have way too many at work that we don't use.

Now I can print things out on my home printer from my laptop anywhere in the world.

Quite why I need this I have no idea.

I thought this too but it is amazing when you want to print a properly cropped photo and the people at home have no technical savvy or ability and would mess it up or you are on holiday, want to print but if you did you would have to keep it on you until you returned, admittedly thses could also be done when you get back but we all know what people are like, wanting photos and items sorted right away. :P

Anyway my 'rant', have you ever listend to the radio to the point that you realise that the 'no repeat guarantee' means they don't repeat the same song twice in a day but do repeat the same playlist all weeke long? Add to that Matt Berry is doing all the announcements and it soon makes you go mental, but ah well, too happy to really have a rant at anything.

Slightly related:

The club I used to work at had a DJ in the front bar who played the same stuff in the same order every week.

I told the manager (who hadn't noticed) about this, who then moved one of the security cameras onto the DJ booth.

Sure enough the cheeky sod had made a couple of CDs at home, and just played them through while enjoying his rider (which happened to be a case of beer).

Now the DJ in question only has a short set in the back of a grotty little pub, and nobody takes him seriously.

Yes, you are in Thailand and decide to print a photo at home.

You get a paper jam, the printer overheats and burns your house down.

Also, unless you have your PC set to Wake On Lan and a static IP or one of the NoIP style IP forwarding services then you have to leave your PC on all the time.

What does that cost you in electricity?

Plus you just doubled the chance of a computer based device burning your house down.

There is a chance for hilarious japes though.

I like to WOL my PC and put music on at mega-volume when I know my wife is alone in the house.

Hilarious.

Set up a internet viewer and turn off the authorization, then just randomly log on when they are on and take control of there machine, not telling them what the lock out button is and basically just do what you want like:

Open Word and speak to them through it,

Download Porn,

Make them watch 2 girls 1 cup,

Make them watch as you rearrange their entire system using desktop shortcuts they don't know so it freaks them out and they can't get it all sorted,

And many more besides :P

Though you have a point Stunt, only idiots overfeed printers with paper so they jam and only idiots desperatley have to print a pic of their holiday while on holiday, forgetting that they could just look at the actual thing they took a photo of. :P

Its a wireless printer, so the computer doesn't need to be on.

I didn't buy the thing, it's my mothers. She needs a decent one for printing postage labels and stuff.

For the very limited printing I do I'd go to the library and do it.

Sounds like the fun and games we used to have at school with the Acorn computers. A friend wrote some programmes where you could pick a computer on the network and either type on their word (or the equivalent acorn programme is called) document, reboot the machine straight away or it would reboot on the next key stroke. All the while your computer screen would just show the booting up screen

Been listening to Absolute Radio? xD

It may seem like they play similar songs each day but the variety is still good I think. Absolute is definitely my favourite radio station. Classic rock FTW. Plus, how you not laugh at Matt Berry's voice? It certainly beats *fruitcage* Capital playing the same Rihanna song every 20 bloody minutes.

could be worse, you could be listening to capital. i had to put up with that for 3 days straight.

imagine you take the 10 worst songs currently in the chart and play them over and over again all day, punctuated every 15 mins or so with the most irritating adds you can find... that's capital FM. seriously you'll easily hear each song at least 4 or 5 times per day.

i don't understand why people listen to heart either. from what i can see it's essentially radio 1 minus anything good... with annoying radio adds.
