The civilians in the police vans should be qualified to CCTV operator standards and have a certificate to prove so . In much the same way a councill CCTV operator can issue parking / bus lane tickets , these people can issue speeding tickets . . Checking the equipment has been certificated as failure to calibrate is the loophole . Same as police car cameras . The calibration / book entry is the often messed up part in prosecutions !!

So the bubbler pump in my prop failed. I cracked the thing open, and cracked the pump open, turns out that the cam that makes the pump go got stuck. I jiggered it a bit and it started working again.

For the entire thirty seconds after getting assembled.

My girlfriend watches glee in the mornings and I've just worked out what the niggly thing is that bothers me about it.

They come in. They sing. They *fruitcage* off without thanking the musicians that have played for them.

Ungrateful *bramston pickle*.

Went to set up a download last night for something over 5GB.

During the day the internet doesn't seem to like downloading anything, legitimate or otherwise.

Wake up this morning to find it had lost connection after about 30mins about the time I had fallen asleep.

Que a whole night of the laptop being on charge and nothing to show for it.

Huff, will have to try again tonight, if it doesn't work this time complaint will be levied.

OK.... the drugs I am on are generics however I take the brand that makes me the least sick.... well I did but they discontinued it, so after a nightmare of being without meds for three days and trying not to appear a smackhead asking for more drugs on the phone to my docs. whilst being lectured by a junior doc at my practice who doesn't grasp that I am doing what I have been told to do by my gp (not registering near uni until I get my referral back). Am told to go see the emergency out of hours doc.... who tell me sorry nothing we can do as you aren't registered with a doctor round here.....

Then had to go argue with a pharmacist who patronised me and talked down to me like I was a child and implying that I am a. stupid and B. know nothing about either my medication or my condition,  I hope one day he goes to take a ###### and passes a inch wide kidney stone.

My new version of oxycontin which was dumped on me after they discontinued the one I liked, the one that just made me nausous for an hour or so after taking it,. Apparantly makes me constantly drowsy but also unable to sleep. I can't have anything in the diazapan family as I just get worse spasms. I am in pain and am either always too cold or too hot and when I get too hot I spasm and puke

I am using the wheelchair more and more because well.... a physical day on and off trains and from place to place i.e uni is less hard on me the next day if I use the chair. I want a new chair but need to wait till my specialist referral comes through because if I move gp's to one near uni/where I am staying I could lose my referal I have been waiting 2 years for. My current chair is too heavy, too high, not fitted properly for my back and posture so it can be uncomfortable on bad days.

I feel useless because of the chair and the tiredness and spasms, feel really unattractive because of the drugs and the chair and the scars and the tiredness. Can't eat or drink allot of stuff I like as it seems to cause me to have violent ill reactions. (cinnamon tea caused a temperature spike with shaking shivering and after I left the late night shisha place to cool down the rapid cooling caused me to just puke as I sort of fell.... trying to get to a bin. So ended up riding home on the train just my jacket covering my top half feeling useless and vulnerable).

My new course is starting so I can't really cope with constant exhaustion because of it being 3 days 8-530 on placement and then 2 930-4 days on campus.

Oh and part of my treatment could be major surgury and a 4 week in patient program.... FFS they had the 2 years I wias ill and useless trying to finish my M.A whilst I waited for appointments and applied for post graduate stuff to do all this but it all starts to happen when I don't have time or energy.

I just want to sleep for days but it doesn't make me less tired when I do.

So set it to download and then browse Arnie's for the half hour (best case 15 minutes but when did that ever happen?) it takes to download the file.

No problem surely?  Why do you need to leave it on overnight?

Because it takes 5-6hrs to download overall :P.

As for Scotland, well some areas may be backwards in terms of beliefs and intelligence (Aberdeen) but the Central Belt seems to have all the amenities. ;)

*Hugs fibre router*

Laughs at neighbours for not bothering to secure a password on their router and being too old to one not use the full potantial of what they have and two notice it is being used.

Downloads away!!!!

Also as for 'things that have annoyed me' it has to be Sony. Now they have a service where by you can simply buy something off the store and they charge you the cost of the item rather than having to top up in £5 increments.

For some reason they don't bother to point out anywhere that this is a minimum of £5. So when I bought the Resi Evil triple this was fine as it was £8. However when I bought an old PSOne game for £1.50 it charged a full £5 to my store wallet rather than just the cost of the game. Only real advantage is I managed to use the remaining cash to get Medievil for the PSOne and have a bit left over for a classic arcade game. However it would help if the bunch of *rickrolls* told you about the under £5 thing.

The wiring in my bathroom is an effing joke. I replaced the socket yesterday after having borrowed a heavy-duty drill from my dad, who also took a look at the disaster.

Seriously, half of the *fruitcage* stuff is way too thin, and the old socket, aside from breaking apart, partially melted around the washing machine plug. Well, I shouldn't be surprised, the bathroom/kitchen circuit is apparently made of cobwebs, stale bread and maybe old aluminum wires. If you run the fridge and toaster at the same time, the fuse will blow when toaster gets unplugged.

Also, costume department of Agents of SHIELD. Look, I understand that it's not a historically accurate show, and I'm willing to let "Bowman headset in 1945" slide, but for *fruitcage*'s sake, how could you LOSE AN EPAULETTE AND NOT *fruitcage* NOTICE IT?!

Old people are idiots.

Travelling home today, borrowed a van to help my sister move house tomorrow. Was driving through a village which is a 20 limit.

Some codger walking his little rat-dog was waving his arm in a frantic manner, looking right at me, and mouthing "slow down".

I looked at the speedo, expecting the needle to be jammed against the 140mph mark and... Yep, was doing 20. In a 20 zone. On a dead-straight section of road.

But, I was obviously speeding as I was white van man.

But, I was obviously speeding as I was white van man.

To be fair many white van men are *Ubarflock* :P.

But I know what you mean. The best (worst) are the old people that seem to do 40mph everywhere. On a motorway 40, on a back country road 40, in the middle of a city in a 20 or even 30 zone still 40.

Maybe they are just afraid to change speed incase the car explodes or something?

Also tiny rant, why is it that I find customers are always asking for things to be fixed when I am not in the office meaning I have to wait a whole day, come in at start of the day, fix / respond and then wait a whole day for them to reply yet they still sit and moan that we have broken our service agreement times? It is not my fault you shifted your Scottish based, open between 9-5 operation to frigging India is it?
