My eye! Sweet Jesus, Ouch!

I actually want to go play BF2 now, I am sure GAME had the whole bundle (all three main expansions etc) for £3 or something silly.

I always remember all the classic joke videos that filled the earlier days of Youtube with nothing but stupid BF2 stuff like constant bunny-hopping and the douchebag sniper.

I wouldn't bother, EA has shut down the servers for it so you can't play online (read: can't play). Unless you have one of the mods which have set up their own account servers like Project Reality or Forgotten Hope 2.

To be honest it is bad enough in CoD where it took half a mag to hit someone as only about 5 shots would hit due to poor hit scans.

Though agreed, N64 version of Goldeneye is still amazing, it meant you had four people in the same room as well which lead to hilarity as they tried to distract each other while still playing. Plus less likely to call everyone who beat them a *fruitcage*-ing *Ubar* as then everyone else would just hit them with those freak controllers that the N64 had.

The shields thing got me in Halo as really all of the weapons bar the shotgun, sniper rifle, sticking grenades, sword and hammer are useless. These weapons could kill instantly and do the much needed damage everything else lacks.

Of all the things to accuse CoD of, bad netcode isn't one. BF2 hit registering was actually terrible, case of rose tinted glasses for a lot of players...

Ah yes I forgot about the old BF2 shutdown by EA. Stupid EA.

As for CoD, maybe it is just the games I played on my connection but it was very sparodic. Some games would be perfect, others totally lackluster in terms of MP play at various times of the day. While it was better than others it was still rather awful.

I never really enjoyed HALO. There wasn't any specific things I didn't like, it seems just that the whole game was a bit "meh" to me. However imo one of the most fun and overlooked fps games was Command & Conquer: Renegade

The way I see it, the games developers are stuck as if they make changes they get a reaction of "it's just not the same" and when they follow the tried and tested formula of previous titles then they get complaints about releasing the same game in a different box

True, but you can strike a balance. Some games have done it well while others have not.

However for the likes of CoD they know they can get away with it and re-using things seems the norm. I am sure if you look at all the guns and vehicles they will have been replicated at various times throughout the series, originally as placeholders and then then 'meh' just leave it. At least Halo shouldn't really have that excuse as they have much bigger gaps between games and more time to make things work. To me the best Halo is always the original, back then it was different, it had driving and FPS in a good balance and you had that hilariously annoying last mission to contend with which made it fun.

I will be honest though if they made a CoD:2 remastered and kept all the game mechanics the same but then added up to date graphics and made the scenery a bit more populated with things to fight over (it was a bit bare) then I would buy it. As for these new ones, well they are just all too the same. I might go pick up CoD2 now that you mention it, it was a lot of fun. EDIT: But oh wait, I can't, *fruitcage* you Sony and your late to the game console.

A WW2 fps with gun upgrades? Hmmm.

B... BF2 servers... shut down?

*cries hysterically*

Yeah, GameSpy (who hosted the servers for a lot of games) went bust earlier this year, taking the multiplayer for a long list of games with it. 2142 died too :( Only way to play BF2 online now is to find someone who's set up a master account server and connect to it. Couple of people did, including some of the more popular mods. Not too bad a run for a game that's nearly 10 years old.

Much of them are possible though, if not all. Such as changing a C96 from stipper to mag fired (just switch to a different model) give it the shoulder stock and then switch it again to being a M712 full auto model, all possible.

Same for the rifles, they added re-worked parts for smoother reloads and the use of those cup grenade launchers which just about every rifle had back then. The Thompson went from stick to drum mags. Again all possible. In fact the only ones that didn't make sense was using hotter ammo loads as they would damage the guns back then. Aside from that the parachuting into the map idea was much more fun than the typical 'go from A-B, killing 56 enemies on the way'.

Too bad they didn't realise that the attempts to make MoH modern would just fall apart.

Cost per year is probably cheaper with multiple hookers than a relationship.

I know an accountant in the US who puts it into practice. Very open, and certainly not afraid to talk about, the fact he doesn't bother with proper relationships because the escorts he hires are cheaper in the long run.

So pretty much all my colleagues are going "Heard something about you" but not actually giving me anything concrete.

I know it's in regards promotion, which is supposedly soon (one manager told me as she's redoing the areas of responsibilities she's putting me on there), there's also a massive shift in the Team Leader and Management dynamic currently.

One manager told me yesterday I was going to learn line cleaning, then the pub manager had a go at him for that as apparently the plan is now different and more exciting but he can't say more. He also pulled another colleague into a corridor and said he was getting a promotion and I'm being jumped to Shift Leader. This is something supposedly corroborated by a group of the guys who went out to a pub last night as someone asked one of the Shift Leaders if I was jumping, he denied it. But maybe the original source was the same?

I'm keen to go up, but I'd also like management to give me a clue on what's happening instead of everyone "hearing things" and confusing the hell out of me.

It's a P45. It just has to be.

Well, we're always "joking" about firing me.

I know its good, just not quite how good which is awkward as I could do with knowing how my finances will shift. But there are official channels they do need to proceed down, just wish the boss could give me more than a smile like a Cheshire cat.

How is your work place still running Mike_West? It just seems to be always falling apart and having systems fail (an awful lot). . .

Rant; police can't do *suitcase* if you don't report it. If you report it and nothing gets done, then yeah you have every right to moan and complain. But if you don't report it and still moan, that the police haven't done anything, well then, you're a *fruitcage* tard.

What's got two thumbs and just moved 12miles on the M25 in 2 and a half hours?

This guy <points thumbs at self>.

What the hell Britain?

Roads aren't any harder to drive on just because there is water on top of them.

Stop being *fruitcage*tards and crashing into each other

If everyone kept save driving distances, there really isn't any need to slow down that much unless we are talking severe downpour.  Sadly lots of people cannot drive, slow down and drive too close to each other resulting in accidents and further delays.

Natural selection at work. Now if only we could develop a way so that the only person that dies is the one driving like a *fruitcage*-tard we would all be happier.
