DeltaZero
I was also told it's very good for you but never that it was nice. Have been eating it for the past couple months once or twice a week now and honestly I've not found a way to make it taste great.. but it doesn't taste bad for me at least! shmook
Got my Citizen Eco Drive (my 21st Birthday present and therefore my current dress watch) out of storage. Of course havinf been in its case its completely dead. Been subjecting it to ambient light levels since Sunday but still no life. Might need to use one of my flashlights or grab a cheap desk lamp to charge it up as I want to be able to use it (and ideally keep it charged) Have a Google. I seem to recall solar watches can have issues if left in the dark for extended periods. Can't remember the details though. It may need a new battery (rechargeable I mean!), or it may be something to do with the capacitor? Vague post is vague, sorry!

FireKnife
I was also told it's very good for you but never that it was nice. Have been eating it for the past couple months once or twice a week now and honestly I've not found a way to make it taste great.. but it doesn't taste bad for me at least! Try this, tin of sieved tomatoes (500g), two little cooking chorizo sausage, three bell peppers and one of those Uncle Bens Microwave rice packs. Dice the chorizo and the peppers rather fine. Cook until chorizo is brown and peppers are hot, add in the sieved tomato and then add the microwave rice and a touch of water to the pan, cook until it looks edible. Excluding the chorizo the above can be had for £2.50 and feeds two, with the chorizo only adding a £1 for the amount you need. It makes a nice meal, is cheap and gives a good balance of veg, carbs, protein, fat and a little salt. Also if you can't cook and cut the above I fear for your intelligence. amateurstuntman
Why does quinoa always taste *suitcase*? Quim-what?oa. If you want to eat something healthy have a grilled chicken breast with almond butter smeared on it in a pita full of salad. At least that tastes good.

Couldn't pay him as a gift so I had to go down the regular route to pay with fees. Another gent on another forum wouldnt even allow that so I had to transfer money from my bank to the paypal so I could pay the gent using paypal funds. Stupid system! shmook
Above, why is rice bad? Just reading the new catalogue from heinnie Haynes. TAD gear, what the *fruitcage*? £505.95 for a softshell jacket? Their prices have been taking the puss for years but that is insane.
FireKnife
Microwave rice? Get out. Yep, it is easy to use and the ones with flavours like the Mexican options are good. Rice is fine enough, it just has a lot of 'Atkins diet, full on carbs' BS about it. Too much is bad but some is fine. 'FireKnife'
Gunmane
As much as I wouldn't mind eating rice more often, I'll say no to the arsenic. So, finally got confirmation that the 4th member of a group project dropped out of the class, oh goodie...

Downloaded the watch manual and it suggests in a normal office setting it will take 100 hours from stopped to normal function. I think I'm gonna have a blast with my Scoutlight when I head back to Cambs if its not shown any signs of life if not I'll take it to a specialist.

Cannonfodder80
According to the FDA there are no short term ill effects and long term the effects haven't been studied. Also the cooking process halves the levels of arsenic.
Tw1tch
And aren't nations that consume rice as a staple typically healthier than those which don't? However correlation does not equal causation.

Tw1tch
Well I hope so. Do feel pretty silly having a solar powered watch as my only current dress watch though... If I make it to management it'll probably become a work watch but I'd still worry about breaking it.
