Also London in a wheelchair is *fruitcage* hellish and the average londoner is either stupid or scum.

What percentage of Tube stations has accomodations for mobility-impaired people (elevators, ramps, stuff like that) and how does it compare to Warsaw's 100%?

Also, the financial department got tangled in their own corporate , and it's me who has to sort out their *fruitcage*ed up draft contract with the auditor. That, and the beginning of January will be a massive pain in the *albatross*.

Not sure on the figures but central London isn't great. By and large the more modern stations have better access - the older ones in central london less so.

Reserves made me do a part 1 signals course because I joined a cavalry unit and my background is infantry (apparently this matters on JPA)

I've been using radios for 15 years, have used them on tours in Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan, and they made me do a recruit level course.

This is an insult to my soldiering abilities.  It would be like making a professional chef serve fries in McDonalds.

It's pretty good you end up with about 65% access. They even mark on the maps the difference between lift access needed and ground accessible/street level access.

Generally the support staff on the overground are pretty good (roll up and ask for help and you get it pretty quick) the tube staff are poor really *fruitcage* rude and really unhelpful in my experience

My problems are with the difficulty of actually getting into an out of the stations and the dickheads who I have to dodge round especially the *Ubarflock* who think it's acceptable to smack me in the face with their *fruitcage* backpack or satchel walking past or step in front of me and *badgeress* like it's my fault when they have to stop or I clip them. Plus of course the horde of idiots who flood the train doors at the platform so the member of staff with the ramp can't get through to let me off the train, the horde who then walk up the ramp so I can't get off and give zero *fruitcage*s about their inconsiderate behaviour.

The busses can be just as bad which doesn't help because I use them to get around the inaccessible stations, the regs state that wheelchair users have priority and pushchairs must be folded and/or moved if the chair space is needed. However 90% of the time I have found that doesn't happen because of a combination of the average pushchair now requiring its own post code, people being self absorbed and rhinking they dont have to have any common courtesy and the way the unions interpret the anti violence policy.

(If the driver feels they would be put at risk of attack by requiring someone to do something they are advised by the companies not to do it, the union interpretation at least for stagecoach staff includes being sworn at or 'hostile tone' as qualifying under that guidance so basically they don't have to ask anyone because that would put them at risk of being sworn at)

I was especially impressed by the shower of dickheads at Victoria when I went into hospital.

*rickroller* one pushing in front of me in a macdonalds queue as I was rolling 2 steps forward to the counter, he stepped past me as I rolled forward to push past and actually pulled my chair backwards to ensure he would be next in line. 2. The *fruitcage*with who when on the train to Denmark hill moaned she couldn't use the area I was tucked into to put her case down. (No wheelchair spaces on those trains so you wait by the doors) and just dumped it so I couldn't turn round to get off the train u til someone else moved her bag because she'd *fruitcage*ed off to sit somewhere, in hindsight I should have got the guy to leave it on the platform and finally *fruitcage*wit the third who stood in front of me on a train journey using my legs as a means of supporting the weight of his rucksack and not only that but when I complained he let more of the weight drop and made a crack to his travelling companion (who looked like an escort tbh) about not understanding why I was bitching because I couldn't use my legs anyway and laughing about deliberately dropping one while I was sat there. I hope someone beats him with a tire iron.

Plus the usual issues of people moaning that because you are in a chair you are in the way, people walking into me or hitting me with bags because they don't look, the stares like I'm some carnival exhibit and the accompanying 'tarquin you shouldn't look in case you catch it' responses to children's curiosity and the people that try to 'help' me up curves, hills or steps by randomly grabbing the back of my wheelchair as well as the classic discussions about how awful it would be to be trapped in a chair and how it would be nicer to put children like that out of their misery and not prolong the suffering or to have the government look after them rather than burden the family's etc etc etc

I just get stressed and angry when I have to travel in the chair now because it's always massively more awkward than it should be.

Also Dark child do they not have a record.that you have done that course or the equivalent as that seems really stupid that they are assuming you don't have basic soldiering skills and that a change in branch from int to armour means that you need to be started at the beginning again.

Have you managed to keep your rank or do you have to start from scratch and earn it all again?

You need a tazer and teach these *fruitcage*s a lesson.

Yes they have it on record, but because the complex fit is different from what I have already used (this course is way more advanced, several courses down the line)  the reserves, in their wisdom have decided that I need to start from RAC step 1, when I could realistically just jump straight onto complex fit course.

I have kept my rank, that was one of my terms for signing back up.

Phone now refuses to charge. 5 year old Samsung Galaxy S.

Too poor to afford a new phone right now, probably a couple of weeks until I can replace it with another smartphone (even then probably a S3 or S4)

I'm on my second charging issue with my S5. *fruitcage* samsung.

If there is a wireless charge case for your phone?

If there is, get one.  There is no wearing part so they don't break down.

I would, but the principle gets me. Bad.

Why should I pay to fix an issue that shouldn't be there, and is not of my making?

It's not really Samsung's fault either, it is the fault of whomever designed the USB Micro-B format.

It's not even really their fault since they had no real way to anticipate people owning a device that would be plugged and unplugged 5 times a day to different plugs in crappy circumstances and at funny angles.

Although they should have known better.

At least Samsung put the female end of the connector on a fairly easily replaced daughter board.

USB-C should fix all of these issues and it is starting to be about already.

Until then I like to charge wirelessly and imagine I am Nikola Tesla.
