Oh Stunt, I wasn't very clear. I meant the painted roadsigns on the tarmac. Like the yellow crossed lines on a crossroad or the zig-zags at times. I figured them out by now, but I wasn't well informed, indeed.

Ireland is fun to drive too, btw. I'm allowed to do 80 km/h where I only dared 70 max at times.

Fun ^^.

Hedge, I heard the same thing. I was just teasing ;).

Yeah, when it comes down to it almost all the paint on the roads that doesn't delineate a lane is just saying "don't stop here" in a bunch of different ways.

Glad you are having fun,

When I was in Australia I managed to get away with 130mph in a 130kph limit zone by being British and confused.

Can't guarantee it will work anywhere else.

The head copper in wales is a *Ubar*.

He actually BRAGGED on national radio about sitting officers close to biker events to pull large groups and search for issues holding people for 45m as they search desperately around the bike for issues. Even ticketing guys for illegal exhausts who had properly stamped mufflers because 'it sounds too loud' as a great bit of policing.

He bragged about targeting tourists and openly admitted he wanted to stop motorcycle riders from visiting wales. Iirc he did some funny stuff with speed cameras as well breaking the rules on placement and not programing them for the 10%+1 leeway that the home office guidelines push for.

Also in other news im not sure if Il get my meds this week bz i ordered the scrip before my review due date but the gp will have signed it after the review due date.... Meds that require review by the gp but are controlled by a specialist. You cant make changes so why make me go for a review.

And Stunt, you're awesome and you understand and listen when im having a shot time so ty.

What we experience as kids does massively influence who we become. Im cynical and misanthropic and don't trust people because of my childhood thankfully i have a group of close friends who understand and listen when i need it.

made the mistake of watching 'how to live mortgage free'.

Essentially, it's easy. All you need is a *fruitcage*ton of money in the first place. Then just take a massive gamble on either getting planning permission for a brown field site or buy a boat and gamble on it, y'know, not leaking.

Yep.  That's the annoying thing about money.  Once you have enough.  It's ridiculously easy to make mountains of cash.

There is an abandoned building near me.  Used to be offices but was once a rather nice period house.  It's been bought by a developer for what are essentially pennies compared to the money they're going to make converting it into x amount of £450K flats.

Yarp.

The terrace of 9 houses I live in was for sale a while back.

£70k a house.

8 of the 9 were rented at the time, with tennants, averaging about 450/pcm.

That's a very healthy investment portfolio - literally it would be enough for me to retire and have my day job be '*rickroll* about with old cars until i get bored' at the right old age of 28.

Sadly, I didn't have enough money for 560K.

I'm seriously considering looking at ISO container buildings and brown field sites. I always wanted to build my own house, but 'proper' land is hellishly expensive.

Hey, that inflatable garage is amazing. You reckon they're like, fire proof? Cause I need to do some welding inside one, and, y'know, sparks and things.

Line it with spark-proof mesh. Simple!

Looked into the laws regarding surrogate pregnancy in the UK.

They're *fruitcage* bulls@&t.

The gist is that if a woman gives birth to a child, it is legally her child, the legal father is her husband/civil partner if applicable.

Any surrogacy agreement is unenforceable under UK law, they are literally worthless.

And this is the same country which recently legalised "three-parent children"?

But social services will give a child to any surviving family member, even if the home wouldn't pass the adoption checks. They actively try to give a child to a family member if the birth mother is deemed unfit.

Under UK law, if you & your partner conceive a child through IVF and that embyro is implanted in another woman who carries it to term, that woman is the child's mother, her partner is the child's father; you and your partner, to whom the child is genetically related have *no* legal rights.

The woman giving birth is registered as the child's mother and she can then terminate her parental rights and you can adopt *your own child* but their birth certificate will forever have the surrogate's name as their mother. However, if she decided not to give up those parental rights, there would be nothing you could do about it.

wait, what? That's bat *suitcase* crazy.

Even if the child has no genetic material from the surrogate mother?

To bastardise an expression, a dog can be born in a stable, doesn't make it a horse. (or, as it's actually said up here, 'an oss')

There should be application forms and background checks before people should be allowed to have children.

I know that sounds horrible. But some people really should not have the privilege.

Three parent children, for anyone interested, is mitochondrial replacement therapy.

For women who carry faulty mitochondria which would be harmful for any children they have, a donor ova with good mitochondrial DNA has it's nucleus removed and replaced with the mother's nucleus and then fertilised and placed back in the mother.

The resultant child will have healthy mitochondria, and in the case of a girl, any children she has will have healthy mitochondria too.

I think sweatpants and trainers are a required uniform for women and girls here... They're everywhere.

Also. Yoga pants are for yoga.

Pwz people. Have some decency :(...

As an *albatross* man, I can't say I agree with you.
