BigTex
the new utg springer says its upgradeable with mauri and systema parts so could i put the Systema M120 spring in it?
elrey
You could, but it wouldn't do anything... I read a piece a while back written by a guy that had gotten one of these to review, he tried putting in stronger springs but they made almost no difference to the velocity of the bb. (Normally I would lock this because an M120 spring would put a gun above forum power limits, but not in this instance. ) link: http://www.airsoftknoxville.com/utg/mp5review.html He specifically referrs to the spring you're asking about: It does use AEG springs but do not let that fool you into thinking you can get it shooting 400 FPS by dropping in an M120. I compared the stock spring to a Systema M100 and the stock spring felt stiffer. Still not as strong as an M120 though. On with the tests! I put in a Systema M120 and the gun shot about 250 FPS. BigTex
thx for the info elrey but damn that kind of sucks =/
Lightning10
how about instead of getting the springer version, save up a little bit more and get the AEG version. fulla auto, and the springs will actually make a significant difference, both for a little more money. DarkLite
That indicates a leak somewhere in the gun, most likely a poor seal between the Cylinder/pistonhead, cylinder/cylinderhead, nozzle/hop-up chamber. Could be fixed, but might require a LOT of work.
BigTex
i think i might do what lightning said and i'm gonna do a little home work to see if i can stick and m120 in the aeg version
Bravo117TR
yeah, go with the aeg version. the spring version isnt worth the money anyway, when you can shell out 50 more bugs and get full and semi auto.
