Name Censor?

Recommended Posts

Aha - yes, I see what you mean :)

One for Arnie to sort out methinks.

Arn - can you change the username resulting from such a search and (if possible when you have time) instigate the language barrier on the registration process?

Cheers ;)

Hello,

I've just noticed a crack in the sites censorship of non pf-13 words, just go to member search and search for member names containing f**k** for example.

Such as "Colonel ######" from the scrapheap challenge series.

Colonel D1ck that is...

me 2.  no offense, but FMJ, you are a hypocrite, getting on others when you have an F-bomb in your member title

Uhm, I wasn't totally awake when I wrote the post.

So I didn't see that it was concerning peoples usernames, I thought it was a complaint about not being able to type in names like D1ck.

Because it just doesn't make sense saying "Hi my name is ######"

Hence using Colonel D1ck as an example, because I remember replying to a post about The Scrapheap Challenge once, and it turned out like this "Colonel ######"

And without the F-word, it doesn't quite show how evil SantaPope is :P

Parental Guidance 13, right?

"Mom, is this okay for me to read?"

"No, there's a picture of Linsey Dawn McKenzie in one of the posts, dear."

Sorry for being slightly off-topic, but what FMJ mentioned is an "issue" here.

It's not like if 13 year old children doesn't know every single dirty word out there, and it must suck for people with names being or containing a swear word, and being censored. I can't write "Dick", but "cock" is okay. The PG13 system should be valid for content and pictures, where posts with insults can be edited or deleted.

I agree on removing 'd*ck' from the word censor - some people are called that! :o

Yes, I think that could be removed, but if any one where to be caught using it somehow other than the name, should beneg repped or punished somehow.

you're all crying because you cant use d1ck as a name, but you never would anyways.

In all seriousness Sledge shouldn't post pictures of a pornho, if you're so fond of your socalled PG-13 rating.

Thank you. I've been extremely careful to only post PG-13 images, and to host them on my Photobucket account so no one can back track them to the original websites, as the content of those sites would not be PG-13. If the images I've posted are against forum rules, I can only presume that Havoc's collection of movies sluts are also against forum rules.

Now, given I've posted many pictures a lot of times and no one has felt they are against the rules, and we've got a mod here saying he can't see a problem with them, can we stop backseat moderating?

:zorro:
