Vektor
Ledpocket, those WE slide-frame combos are awesome! Hmmm, maybe if WE got their smaller 1911s out in silver finish, I might consider buying one or two of them...

hardboiledcop
Ok guys, I have a bit of a shopping list.. I desperately need.. A hammer Strut The Pin which retains said hammer strut and a less desparate need for.. Springfield style ambi/single safety (the one which curves downward at the tip) Novak replica rear sight (not kimber style) -- Thanks.
Mathub
I bet you bent the hammer strut by trying to remove the pin.
hardboiledcop
no, but the pin is fused so tight in the hole that I cant remove or even budge it, even with an equal sized non-hollow pin and a bloody great hammer
Mathub
If you can't remove it, just drill it.

Slug Pellets
I thought I'd take advantage of the weak US$, the highlights of which are:
Mathub
Slug pellets, your picture do nothing on me. I already have these 2 kits. Where did you get the officer size kimber grips ? Cause my cdp2 don't have grips since a long time. Edited April 27, 2007 by Mathub
Slug Pellets
Mathub you always know how to make me feel special . The grips are real Ultra Raptor ones (from Ebay.com). Unfortunately I couldn't find a Raptor kit anywhere so settled on the CDP.
hitmanNo2
Nice, is that series 70 the SCW3 one, with no backing to the slide catch notch? Thats the only thing that puts me off them. I'm trying to find a raptor kit too, but it seems they are well and truly out of stock. I don't suppose any of that came from boom arms did it? I've sent them about 10 e-mails and only ever had one replied to. I'm trying to send them the better half of a grand and they're just ignoring me.
Mathub
Raptors out of stock. Might be a good news if I want to sell it. Edited April 27, 2007 by Mathub
Slug Pellets
It is the SCW3 kit and the slide notch does have a backing (I wasn't expecting one either!), and yep the kits were both from Boomarms. The only places I found that had the Raptor kit listed as in stock were Boomarms and TMC, but they aren't really.

1911
TM 1911 Been through hell and back
evilliboba
After about five hours of work I got my TM 1911 into a Guarder kit. Took about an hour and a half of buffing with fine sandpaper to get the slide to move halfway decent. It sometimes gets stuck. I suppose it just needs some breaking in? Other than that the 150% recoil and hammer spring gives a really hard kick. With the added tightbore it really zooms BBs downrange. Now just to find a PGC/Prowin Rear sight and outer barrel instock... Anyone got a link to a place that does?

hardboiledcop
I spent the good part of a week trying to send Boomarms over 600 dollars, I made orders and sent e-mails to no avail. Well, tough luck boomarms.
hitmanNo2
There must be some kind of knack of getting a reply from BA. Maybe all the planets need to be in alignment or something?
hardboiledcop
There must be some kind of knack of getting a reply from BA. Maybe all the planets need to be in alignment or something? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Coinciding with a total eclipse of the sun... and perhaps of the heart. Who knows, all I know is over the last year and a half they've turned down around 2000 dollars worth of orders. Muppets.
Mathub
Boomarms, they know they have the parts, so they don't care. Or, want I think, people don't know how to use their email system.
hitmanNo2
Care to share the secret of getting hold of boomarms Mathub? Is there some sort of code you need to start off your enquiry with that only people in the know are aware of otherwise they ignore you? Just noticed theres a somewhat lack of pictures on this page. I found this pic on my internet travels and think it's awesome. Some very nice leather. Edited April 28, 2007 by hitmanNo2
