Mathub
I tried the CP aluminium chamber, and it reduces kick, whereas blowback speed didn't speed up a lot.
Mobius Strip
Hmmm. Sounds like I had more satisfactory results. I agree kick is reduced, but it's a trade off I am willing to live with on the V12 for the increase in cyclic speed due to the lighter slide mass, especially important when it's colder and the gas is struggling, (which was the point of my experiment). Basho
Did you have to make any changes to fit the SCW3 parts in the kit?
ViciousV10s
Nice Mobius! That thing would be sweet to use in IPSC. I finally got my "Holy Grail" of airsoft from one of our own Arnies members. Now I can die happy. WA V10 with Prime full metal kit. Need some outdoor lighting tho, just snapped those this morning in the office.

Zmarre
Sweet gorilla of manilla, ViciousV10. Does anyone know if there's a shop where you still can order the normal Defender (like the V10 but without the exhaust ports, and cheaper, lol)? UNC and WGC don't carry them anymore... ViciousV10s
It looks like UNcomp still has the Defender, at least it is not listed as "out of stock" ...have you put a quote in there to see if it is indeed still there? http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=5781

BigAl
Hey Vicious that sure is a nice piece, but dump those rubber grips, compacts should never wear rubber. The whole point of a compact is for concealed carry and rubber grips will print through clothing. Edited September 1, 2007 by BigAl

nachostheclown
I was bored today so I finished the install of the Guarder metal frame on my TM 1911. It had been laying around for a couple of months because I was to afraid to try it on my own. It was a lot easier then I thought it would be. I think it looks pretty nice. evansy
I got a little something new this morning Something old something new Something everyone should own Dual 1911's make me smile I just cant decide if I want to buy a left handed safarliand for the seccond one or go for a dual galco shoulder rig. The old girl is getting a pgc kit and associated upgrades along with real wood grips and the new girl is getting a tightbore barrel and real wood grips. I'm leaving the plastic on so I'll have a 1911 that performs well in the cold. Edited September 2, 2007 by evansy

hitmanNo2
I should have one of those Raptor kits in a couple of days. I've been after a Raptor for ages, but it's a shame it doesn't appear to have the brushed effect on the slide like the old kit, but it'll do.
