Sherlock
That might be what your shop calls it but it's a WE 1911 Tactical.

Sherlock
Just found the newly released Colt National Match metal body for the TM 1911 on Guarder's site. Link Edited December 1, 2007 by Sherlock
Romulus
Cool. I'm really happy to see more and more kits come out for the TM 1911 since it's such a great base gun.
krame
Nice, it comes with a metal barrel now. Edited December 1, 2007 by krame
Sherlock
They're doing two kits. One with just the slide and frame and one for $30USD more with the springs and barrel. RRP $180USD for the complete set. Just need more support on the silver extras front so my thumb can have a rest from polishing. Edited December 2, 2007 by Sherlock
AliceHKfan
looks kinda weird how the barrel set up is a bit more like WA's set up (2 parts)

hkssr20det
The Guarder kit looks OK, but why do they still use the ###### sights, especially on a national match. PGC still is worth the extra money.

Sherlock
PGC still is worth the extra money. Agreed as I have a few of both but PGC don't do a National match.
krame
Alright, I'm about to order a metal kit for my TM. Does anybody else make a silver Springfield kit besides Guarder that isn't too expensive($200+). Because I'm about to just get the guarder kit.
Sherlock
Guarder is the cheapest. On the other side of $200 at $210 is the PGC kit. Mine arrived today. Very nice. http://www.boomarms.com/sc/viewproductdeta...?ProductID=1977 Edited December 3, 2007 by Sherlock
hkssr20det
Krame - Just hold out until the WE sells and you can afford the PGC SFA kit. You will be much happier. Also if BoomArms ignores you let me know, I can squeeze a response out of him.
Sherlock
Not sure why people have problems with BoomArms. Mine came from there. Got an error when ordering so emailed them and got a response within 12 hours.
krame
Just ordered the pgc sliver sfa kit from boomarms. Waiting on the quote from them. I'm so excited. Guinness
-snip- If your 'gryphon' from the WW2AA boards, nice paint jobs and pics man! ...even if your not gryphon, excellent work! Slainte! Edited December 4, 2007 by Guinness
GryphonCustoms
If your 'gryphon' from the WW2AA boards, nice paint jobs and pics man! ...even if your not gryphon, excellent work! Thanks. As much as I hated to cover up my 1911, I needed a sidearm as stealthy as me. For one of my first paint jobs, I'd say it came out rather well. And I'm a different "Gryphon", I'm sure. Sherlock
Just finished another Springfield build. PGC frame and slide. KM hammer. KM TN inner barrel. Nineball spring guide. Guarder high flow mag valve. PGC piston head. Guarder 150% recoil and hammer springs.
Guinness
Not sure why people have problems with BoomArms. Mine came from there. Got an error when ordering so emailed them and got a response within 12 hours. Agreed- Johnny is outstanding. Sure, a day or two may pass between replies, but no where near the issues with Gunner or RSOV- Understand that all of these guys are fairly inundated with email and order traffic, and they are all very small operations- maybe 4 or 5 people on staff at Boomarms. But always the most helpful and high quality customer service. I got a reply from Johnny just last night at midnight his time, I told him to go home! it's late! and then another one first thing in the morning his time, like 6AM HK time telling me my order had shipped. I'd almost wish they were 'our little secret' lol because I kind of don't want them to get so successful that they have the same growing pains Fung and Keith have had. Oh well.... That's internet commerce I suppose Slainte!
hkssr20det
Sherlock - Are those Shooters Design grips? Looks good, but my Altamonts seem to have deeper engravings on them.
Sherlock
They are indeed Shooters Design. Engraving is deep enough. Will show a lot more once there's a bit of dirt in them. Edited December 5, 2007 by Sherlock
kliskey
GryphonCustoms - Thats a fairly cool looking Paintjobby you got there - But Bah Pistol in MC aswell :/ Its a nice Idea...... But I think it ruins the gun alot - Similarly the entire M4 in MC ruins it a tad as well JMO anyway Edited December 5, 2007 by kliskey
