k.a
seems like the place to ask, ordered Guarder's springfeild kit and Pgc(prowin) barrel/sight set for my Mauri 1911a1, only to find out from a mate who heard somewhere that Pgc barrel don't cycle properly with Guarder slide , anyone had first hand experience, can it work with modification?? Thanks in advance.
ViciousV10s
I had a TM 1911 with the Guarder Springfield kit and I used a ProWin PGC outer barrel in it. It worked fine. If anything just break it in by cycling it by hand for a while. You should be fine.
rwoodcock01
Hello there, figured I best start posting up here, my WE 1911, originally without markings but I picked a new slide with markings. Additionally the internals are modified now. Running a TM Hi-capa 4.3 loading muzzle and piston head and the Proud MARSOC 1911 Hand Grips. (Awaiting new parts in the post, aka guarder enhanced loading muzzle and nine ball piston head). Just the Hi-Capa parts make the world of difference. Cheers Rich Edited March 30, 2007 by rwoodcock01
Madiaz
My tm m1911a1 with homemade wooden grips. They are little bigger than orginal grips, but they have also bigger weights inside.

davedawg123
I know I've been whoring alot of my Kimber, but I deleted a few of the old blurry pics, screwed in the barrel a little further (as far as it would turn by hand anyway), and took some fresh snaps. Hopefully these are a little better and HBC and Guinness will approve :

That_One_Person
Sure hope so after that Tanaka M870 deal fell through. I need some sort of sidearm. 1. P226 too expensive with quality kit 2. WA 1911's, good luck finding a kit 3. Marui M1911 not too expensive with PGC kit
no1rc3ur
TM1911 w/ PGC. I had one, and sold, feels really good in your hand. I love the P226, but I hate the TM design, the KSC one looks better. and WAs, you know...

Husky
davedawg thats a sexy kimber.. i just hate bomars. they are soo ugly.
davedawg123
I think bomars give it a nice race gun feel. Novaks are okay, but a bit plain IMO. Are real steel bushings and screws compatible with Prime kits?
Mathub
Are real steel bushings and screws compatible with Prime kits? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't know about the bushing, but RS screw can't fit in the prime bushings. I had to buy some proud bushings, they fit the prime kit and I could put my blue kimber screws in.
That_One_Person
I ment like rare kits for say, the V10 without the specialengraving. I haven't seen one nstock for a long time.

davedawg123
Are SCW 1911 blowback units sold separately? I'm looking for one compatible with bomars.
r.ocelot
SCW BBUs are compatable with all sort of SCW series sights, be it gov't, novak, kimber low-pros, wilson pyramids, or BOMARs.
davedawg123
Thanks. I saw some on Den that said it was specific to bomars but it looked a bit different than the one in my kimber so I wasn't sure if it was SCW. Any info on where I may source such a part?
