BigAl
This is the next step in my TM Delta Project. In these pictures I am using a Hi-Capa Outer Barrel and Full Length Guide Rod as well as new grips custom painted by RSP. I am still working on the final control configuration but my final choice will depend on whether or not I go with the Bull Barrel and Guide Rod. I'm still in the process of making up my mind about these new additions but any feedback would be helpful. LIke it mate, also appropriate to put a heavy barrel and rod on a hard kicking gun like a 10mm.
Romulus
Thanks. I'm having second thoughts about it for the long run but it looks cool for now.
Plymouth Roadrunner
I was looking at springfield 1911s today saw this which leads me to ask, are there OD springfield kits? Yes there are actually! Heres a pic of one! Its the one on the right. Edited December 31, 2007 by Plymouth Roadrunner

CapaciousZepher
I don't know if I'd Krylon a pistol frame. Seems to me it would wear too quickly. Cheers! - CapaciousZepher
Plymouth Roadrunner
I was just using it as an example, I Personally would get some bake on paint and do it that way. Although, Krylon on a metal frame would look badass when it begins to wear.
BigAl
Gonna use Duracoat on my TLE/RLII Project gun. It's goin Desert.
snowman
Just a bog standard TM Detonics Combat Master. Cheers.
SamJacksonFan
Well, pretty nice and cool. Perfect for a review Would be interesting how it performs against WA Ultracompact and Wilson Combat Short versions … Trigger and outer barrel seem to have the dubious charme Marui going cheep … don't understand why they still keep on that like with the P226 outer barrel and frame or the ugly outer barrel and hammer finish of the hicapa 5.1 … seems to be a rocking little piece though what I saw on youtube clips. Romulus
I'm glad to see more people getting these. Should I assume that there will be a review of this up in the next few weeks? (I really hope so).
SamJacksonFan
As soon as it is available around here the Detonics .45 will be joining my collection. Allready planing some optic modifications … other trigger and hammer, maybe guiding rod and outer barrel, if I can get hands on some good aftermarket piece. Detonics grips would be nice too … if it's ever gonna happen, I'll post pictures, til that, it's yor turn
hkssr20det
Nice Snowman, I can't wait to hear what you think about it. I love mine. The outer barrel is OK, the general fit and finish is great, upgraded on red gas it is an amazing little gun.
BiGSeXyFLaVoR
Wow! I heard some can handle red, but it'll mess up after a while. How's yours coming along?
Thantos
Question; I'm just about to buy a second hand WA Magna Tech 1911 series'80 MKIV but I'm having trouble sourching WA 1911 mag's. Will this pistol take any 1911 magazine (TM or WE etc) or will it only take WA ones? Edit - Also, does anyone know of any reviews about said pistol or perhaps someone has one that they would be willing to describe? http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Rip...ynewgear010.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Rip...ynewgear020.jpg £125 for a 6004 Safriland and a GBB pistol with mag'? SamJacksonFan
Buy it, good one …

(I really hope so). I think you can safely assume there will be a review forthcoming The outer barrel's finish is pretty good on the Detonics, although it's only plastic, so will need replacing (expensive with the chamber) if you go full metal. Cheers.

hitmanNo2
Thantos, WA 1911's will only work with WA mags. snowman has a review of the magna tech M1911A1 here which is the same in terms of performance etc, it just differs aesthetically.

Score x) Thats my friends pistol, it is very decent, £150 would have been a better price, with the safariland, as they are unskirmished. Also it has more range than my WA. Romulus
It's cute. I might look cool if you polished the controls for a more complete two tone look though. Good work.
r.ocelot
I think polished TM controls look like ######, even though they often look nice in pictures. Try beadblasting/sandblasting them instead.
Romulus
I was actually thinking of trying some after market Prime bits and pieces (do they fit?). I agree though, they don't look that great.
