What Guns for Dual Gunning?

Hi,

I know that dual gunning is an ineffective tactic but I recently tried it with my friends Glocks and I must say, that it was the most fun that I have ever had airsofting. Well, I started doing some research and I read the article over at Airsoft Specialists. I found the article pretty helpful and he recommended two guns (If possible, the same kind) and that are of decent size.

So, my question is to you, what gun is a good gun for dual gunning (I would get two of the same gun)? He said to try and get a WA SVI 5 Inch, well I think that WA's are way to expensive since I would get metal slides and he recommended a minimum of 6 slides! I'm not positive but you would probably break $1,000 USD without even breaking a sweat. So, if possible do you think you could possibly list some guns (Good guns with good reliability and performance) that don't need a ton of upgrading to be effective and that are fairly long? So far I was thinking about the KWC Desert Eagle (Cheap but might be a little hard for me to hold in one hand), the KSC M9 HW (Probably my best bet now), and the KJW Para-Ordnance FMV (I have heard good things about it and it's rougly the same size as a M9 but I'm still kind of nervous about getting this one, I mean, it is a KJW). If you know of any gas blow backs that meet my requirements, PLEASE tell me! Also, if you don't know anymore, out of the 3 that I listed which would you get?

Thank you!

Out of that list, the WA SV 5in.

What the hell would you need 6 slides for? One for each gun, for a total of 2? It would be expensive though. Close second would be the KSC M9, KWC Desert Eagle not far behind. Dead last being the KJW, because I cant stand theyre quaility controll. Youll either get the greatest pistol ever, or (most likely) get a very crappy gun that either comes broken, or will break in the first 5 mags worth of use.

Whoops! Sorry if I mad myself kind of unclear (Which I did). I meant a minimum of 6 magazines, 3 for each gun. Also, I don't want to get a WA since there guns are $200+ to start with, $100 for a slide, and $50 for a magazine. Way to expensive for me. Thanks for the info on the other 3 though! Any other opinions?

Same goes in with real pistols as airsoft.

For any where near accurate duel gunning, you need very well balanced pistols.

What is not a balanced pistol: Double stackers, Desert Eagles, Fully automatic guns (Read: Action weighs more.)

Out of all those choices... since you elimanted the WA guns, the KSC m9 is going to be the best. Probably don't even need to slap a metal kit on them all too soon.

If it were me, I would go duel WA 1911 70 series Or something like the Wilsons Combat Professional if i was going to go stubby.

But, what you need to determin first is where you like your guns weight. I personally like it in the back of my hand, lower palm. Thus, I like shorter barreled guns. The longer the barrel you have, the more weight that is displaced up front, thus the gun will sit different in your hand.

The cool thing about revolvers - the normally length barrel ones, and the short, is the weight of them, and the grip, sits completely different then an auto. The bulk of the weight sits in the middle of the gun, so they're decently balanaced - but dont expect this for an 8 inch barrel.

Your worst choice is probably the Desert Eagles because of their shear weight and size. Plus, bluntly, they are a horribly balanced weapon.

I'd go for something that either has ambidextrous controls (like a USP or a P99) or can have its controls switched over for lefties (like a Beretta).

Reaching around for the slide lock and mag release in the middle of a firefight will cause problems :) Accidentally dropping the left gun's mag will cause even more :D

for dual shooting I would recomend one of the non-fullt auto glocks as they have an ambidextrous saftey built in, and you'll operate the release mag mechanism fairly easy with your left hand after some training. Also their grips work for both hands.

Its not very pretty but it is as effective as it gets.

Thanks a ton to everyone who replied, especially Foxtrot! That helped a ton! Most of you seemed like you would recommend the KSC M9 or some sort of KSC/KWA Glock. Does that sound about right?

Spacemunky - I would go with the KSC USP Compact as I love them but compared to the KSC M9 and the KWA Glock series, it's more expensive since I have to also buy the metal slide (I would be using green gas). I could use the KWA USP Compact but I have heard that there are problems with that one.

Foxtrot - Thanks a ton for all of your help. I would definately go with the WA 1911 style guns but (1) there too expensive and (2) is they don't hold that much ammo since there single stackers. A huge downside if you ask me.

If anyone else has any recommendations PLEASE tell me! I know there must be more that I'm missing.

Thank you!

Edit: I'm not positive where I like my guns weight but I'm pretty comfortable with my friends KJ G23.

I would reccomend dual SOCOM NBBs for funtionality. They are dead accurate and silent to boot (good characteristics for someone who would loose in a straight forward firefight with an AEG).

But the Non Blowback feature lacks in coolness. . .

What about the new Electric Pistols coming out soon? Are you willing to wait? Those might be your best bet for dual weilding pistols.

personally, i'd say go for two KJW FMV paras. i have yet to hear a bad report about those, and most say that they're KJ's best guns to date. plus you get the coolness of a 1911 with the capacity of a beretta. only problem is i've only seen one place stock mags for them (poweredge USA)

second i'd go with KWA glock 18's. you don't need to use em full auto, but there's always that option. plus, they're full metal. i'll soon be doing this, thanks to longhair.

of course, you could always be the staple jon woo desciple and go with the KSC M9. i have one, and it performs spectacularly when lubed and such. but i never have lube, so it doesn't usually work. i'd say go with the KWA version if you can find one in stock: same gun, way cheaper.

Willing to wait? The 18C AEP/MAEG comes out on the 15th.

Nah...

The trigger pull is way too long. Added to that the guns are so big that if they weren't aimed properly the shots would be going wild. Imagine squeezing off un-aimed shots with your weak hand on a Mk23? No chance.

You want something short, stubby and pointable. Personally, cos I'm a cheapskate, I'd go for a pair of the ever-popular KWA G19s. The only hard part might be getting hold of enough mag's.
