"UTG DO NOT PRODUCE PRODUCTS THEMSELVES.

THEY SIMPLY REPACKAGE CHINESE STUFF LIKE WELL, CYMA, AND DOUBLE EAGLE.

"

yess to the first

no to the second

there is a big diffrance between "repackaging" and "contract manunfare"

prime example is the UTG AK

the DEs wen't TM mag compatabule, UTG payed to get the mold changed for there models

aside form that.. yes they are all coming out of the same factoy, no the specks and the CQ is a bit difrent.

sounds like a M-4 is next on the UTG list, expect a TM mag compatabul gun based on the R-6 shortly

.

Are you sure? Our head geardo got his hands on the M86 and, AFAIR, fit a TM mag on it.

Anyway, the UTG/DE and new Cyma arrived here at the same time... Cyma ate the UTG. With boots and all the gear ;) .

Wrong. A friend has a DE AK - TM mags fit perfectly.

Secondly - there are several places on the UTG MP5 where one can find "r-5" markings.

nope, and word on the street is they may be droping the project

as for the mag wells..

well it would be a 2 way street

either new DEs are compatabul, the old ones were not...

or

the fact that the "sample" run of UTG AKs that didn't have TM compatabul mag wells points to another maker

as for "R" brand, its the same as UTG.. its a trade mark owned by CSI, while many of there models are rebranded/marked well guns, there are some outher makers in the mix..

but yes, its all about the same, dosen't matter what the box says, its mostly coming out of the same 3-4 factorys
