Opinions welcome lol. Grim
1st Commando
well if it's the Star SA80 then it will be perfectly matched
ban_paintball
Looks more like something from Flash Gordon to me My star SA80 with RS SUSAT, sorry about the crummy pictures but they were only taken on a camera phone <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did it fit without modification? WickedBassie
I believe my '80 is now worth putting up here: Don't ask where to get one of the maglites from, it took me months to find one. It took about 5 seconds to get the maglite to fit. The muzzle cover took a bit longer as I needed to remove a metal ring from around the muzzle. OMG, that is #*&!^#$*@^# beautiful If you cant tell us where to find it, can you tell us what it's called? (unless there isn't a specific name for this retina destroying beauty)

(unless there isn't a specific name for this retina destroying beauty) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It doesn't appear to have any particular name, but I've heard to it referred as an 'H&K Maglite Mount' as well as the SA80 Maglite If you're searching ebay try SA 80 or maglight as well as the usual spellings. Sao
Did it fit without modification? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yup, a bit tight on the rail and the locking button doesnt quite go all the way down so i might have to open up one of the locating holes in the rail but the screw down locking plate on the rail holds it firm enough for airsoft use as it is
Ubar
needs more LLM-
cjfield1129
In case any one was curious what thermold M16 mag would look like in the L85. Also I finally got the Susat.
1st Commando
that actually looks better than i expected ! I wish Star had make the A2 with the correct forend though
Kyrian_Zenda
Wow, nice, I like
cjfield1129
These particular mags are made by Easy Company (hold like 350 or something). I just got them and haven't has any action yet to test their quality/reliablity or anything. They are a nicer, tighter fit than standard CA/ICS/TM/etc brand M16 mags. Kipper
Forgive me for being ignorant, but whats wrong with the front end?
1st Commando
it's not an A2 forend ,the A2 foreend slopes down at the front at the lower end and the vents are much larger and more rectangular . trust me when you see one you will notice the differance
aclark79
Since modified the helmet, no scrim.
Grim
You sling is incorrectly fitted lol, And is that an old U.S. M1 style helmet with a british kevlar DPM cover on it? Nice Pics though. Grim

I thought they scraped that in the end, as every picture I've seen of the L85a2 being used it has the original handguard

I would just look at the A2s when im in the armourt at the TA but seeing as i have only just joined i wont be going in there just yet lol and im to impatient to wait and see lol. (Besides i cant compare it to my STAR A2 because i have the carbine version with the L86 LSW foregrip. Grim

Kipper
I see them all the time, week in week out and i didnt notice anything wrong. Truth be told, i bet if you put most rifles next to their real steel counter parts there will be quite a few differences.
