EddieVanHalen
Just to clarify (me being a bit thick) but do I need a custom battery when using the UGL or will a normal mini battery fit still? Thanks
Tallbloke
mini's are good
Voodoo1
Well I've added a new vertical grip - both more comfortable and looks more integral to the weapon: Its just come out of the work shop - apparently the Piston O ring had broken. Its also now got a prometheus 6.03mm tightbore and the madbul shark hop. Hopefully will be shooting very nicely now. Couple of people mentioned to me about fitting a suppressor to it so heres coupler of pics with a shorty TM pro and a socom type. Personally I don't think I like it with a suppressor though: Grim
msx361
Neither do i actually. I was messing around with my optics last night when i realised that my eotech actually fits without the 20mm adaptor. It's quite solid so it wont fall off or move, it's also at a better angle then it is when its mounted on my m4. It could do with being a tad higher but i can aim with it where it is so am happy Edited October 2, 2007 by msx361
k30dxedle
Are those rear vert grips on the STAR LSWs removable?
Voodoo1
I found my eotech was too low without the rail and was at a slight angle
msx361
Yes they removable. Mine has gone on really straight and at first i thought it was too low because i was use to aiming with the susat, but ive gotten used to using a different part of my cheek now

Grim
And yet they are a total piece of cr@p. I hate the L98! Glad i moved on to the TA and get to play with the A2 now Grim

Grumman
First time I shot the L98 I broke the 'green bit' of the cocking handle off. Well the screw that holds it on came out. I'm going up to Cosford this weekend to redo my WHT on the rifle. Hopefully get to shoot some blanks with the L85A2 on an RAF Regt. Camp coming up in the half term. gu5t, you ACF I take it? Grim yeah, it was rumoured that we would get tsurplus A1's because of the introduction of the A2, but the A1 was converted into the A2, so there are no spare.. Grim
Lol i remember i went away with my Cadet Company for a field craft weekend 1st time we had gottne the rifles out for a while and i was used to playing with the A2 in the TA i dod all the A2 drills instead i was like duh WTF am i doing! lol. Grim
tom lawson
heh yeah, on camps weve often had OTC people being enemy or w.e., and you always see them cocking the rifle left handed and forward-assisting. its good to see that they carry out the drills subconsciously.. and we got to use A2's for a cqb lane this past summer, that was a blast!
