Kingmob3
Back Ground: Since around November I had been looking for a medium sized pack, with a few requirements: 1) Hydration compatible (2-3L minimum) 2) Mollie/Pals compatible 3) Large enough to hold an extra CO2 tank, as I’m a classic air softer 4) Also large enough to hold a fair amount of equipment, such as : notebooks, pens, BB’s,CO2 and 134A, speed loaders, MRE’s, Rope, basic tools, flares, smoke, a head lamp etc… So long story short I was wandering around MM’s ( http://militarymorons.com/ ) and found the TAD gear pack. Now as most of you know the author of MM is a fairly level headed geardo (a term he claims to have coined) and has had the chance to use a lot of equipment under conditions similar to those at a skirmish. After reading his rather extensive review and looking at the high res pictures on the TAD website (http://tadgear.com/ watch the flash intro at least once, its pretty well done) I decided to take the plunge and order one. Keep in mind that the pack is a joint venture between TAD and Maxpedition, the latter makes some of the most absolutely bomber gear I’ve used. Initial Impressions: On the 30th of January I received my TAD gear F.A.S.T. Pack Alpha, along with a few other items in this box: (PIC box un opened) Now the first thing I thought is that either there’s another box coming or they have a mad genius in the packing department. It turns out that both are true as the 24/7 INOVA that I ordered was back ordered, but they had managed to get everything else in the package, without mangling anything. (PIC of box and loot) Suffice to say I’m pretty impressed the packaging job there guys did. Here are the pictures, as I’ve yet to use it at all really. PICS 958 957 962 963 975 967 There are a couple of important fetures I feel I should mention: 1) The zippers are the water proof kind 2) The “transport tail” buckles are alternated, firstly so that the tail is formed by clipping to itself, and secondly so that the compression straps that hold it normaly can be sued to hold what ever you are transporting(Props, Flag, M3 super 90 etc) If you want anymore pictures you can do one of three things 1 ask me, and say what part 2 got to the TAD website http://tadgear.com/ 3 go to MM’s http://militarymorons.com/ KM3 ETA- Ill get pictures up when I can work out Photo hosting, PB isint being nice right now.
