Soloman
The ICS AK74m Easily holds a Large Battery in the stock, with no rattle, and yes, the front trunion/gas block is made out of metal Edited February 18, 2006 by Soloman
The Reptile House
I've just got back from AA, and i held the CA SLR105A1. My mate has promised me use of his ICS AK74 for a game at Black Ops tomorrow. I've handled the CA SLR a few times and the ICS AK has to feel better than that. Looking forward to using it. Meshuponk
Could you remove the stock and make a pic of the receiver thanks
Raygis LasVegas
Sorry, I wasn't too detailed in my previous question... can the ICS AK74 store a large 9.6V 3000mah standard rectangle shaped battery?
Soloman
Unfortunately, taking that movie for you guys, i managed to break my camera, i'm very sorry, but it's just not possible atm. The tripod collasped and the thing landed len-first onto hard concrete from 2m up Ray; I haven't got one of those to test it with, but i don't think it would, the 8.4 is a fairly tight fit, on it's own. Diefenbach
shame about the camera so you're using a 1x00mAh 8.4v battery? (x: (0-9) ) the ROF sounds quite high for such a batt
Soloman
3300 mah The gun is excellent, skirmished with it today, this thing, majorly kicks *albatross*. It took a couple of mags to bed the hopup, but when this this got going, the kills came thick and fast Extremely pleased with this. The Reptile House
The gun is excellent, skirmished with it today I second this. I skirmished a few games with my mate's 74 today and it was rock solid. I don't normally like long AEGs, but I really enjoyed using it. It's a great piece of kit and is built more robustly than the CA SLR. Highly intimidating sound as well
Soloman
Buy it...Buy it now!
phishphansj3151
Can you clarify on the differance between the ICS, and the CA? And please be unbiased if possible lol
willnyc
Would you say this out performs a TM AK47 in terms of range and accuracy? Edited February 20, 2006 by willnyc
Soloman
The CA, feels like a toy, and has rather ###### trades, in my opinion, it is also very light, which may be a plus, but i like my guns to have some weight to them The ICS, on the other hand, has a very good weight to it, 3.5kg! And feels, like a gun, not a toy Plus it has real AK trades, is completely full metal (the CA isn't the gas block is plastic ) and also has a side mount allready installed It also has a full bolt, that goes all the way back The ICS AK74m easily out performs the TM AK47
phishphansj3151
Do you know the weight of the CA? Edited February 20, 2006 by phishphansj3151
Soloman
2.5kg
Carrion
ok 1 it IS compatible with TM AK mags, and vice versa. 2) you can not fit a GP30 to it look on the red alliance as i cont be bothered to type it all out
Soloman
Yeah, all ak mags work fine in this baby, checked out yesterday at the skirmish
NoScapegoat
WHOA! look at that bolt movement! If only I could afford another AEG.
Gary_Scott
Wow....Thought I was a CA man until I saw the pics and video of this one!!! Man alive! I'm buying a G3SG1 from Handsome Pete, and then when I get a bit more money, the AK74M is MINE. :insert evil laugh here!: Thanks for the review, Soloman. I most definitely suffer from C.A.B.S., and you just haven't helped the condition one bit by showing me this. LOL Nice one.
exoframe2
Are there any exploded view diagrams of this gun yet? I desperately want a AK74 receiver to finish up my project gun. I've been thinking about getting a CA SLR105 reciever and modifying it a bit (filling in trades, engraving the factory stamps) but this looks much nicer. I see the stocks mount differently on the ICS, no idea about the barrel trunnion. Edited February 21, 2006 by exoframe2
Soloman
Parts arn't compatible with a TM, i am afraid.
willnyc
I'm a little concerned about the range tho, you said in your review that the range was moderate and reviews of the TM ak47 I read said that its range is quite far so I guess I'm asking if you would know if the 74m outranges TM's ak. Soloman
Yeah, the hop just needed bedding in Has excellent range now

Soloman
No idea. Probs wont have the folding stock, what is says on the box is: Ak-74U (Short type) Edited February 21, 2006 by Soloman
