I was just wondering have you had a chance to get it chrono'd yet? and have you had a look at the internals? and are the mags metal too? LT Tahoe
and are the mags metal too? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Better not be--the real ones aren't...
booyaah
Any dismantle guide of the beast??? Some pics of the ICS AK74 dismantled dear Soloman??? Thanks!
Soloman
*Sigh* No, my camera is broken. Ihaven't dissembled the gearbox, but is like any other Ver.3 *I think* gearbox, but with upgraded internals, and in black. The mags are plastic, apart from the lip, which is metal. Like the real ones.
booyaah
I was not speaking about the gearbox... that's a vers.3, same as Marui so... But I wanted to see the body of the ICS AK74 dismantled...
AussyMurphy
Could you possibly go into more details about the sound of the rifle? Does it have a high pitched whirring compared to a Tokyo Marui? Any ideas of any dissasembly innovations compared to the stock Tokyo Marui? Thanks, ~Tyler
Carrion
not being funny here but its one thing to ask for a breakdown drawing but you are taking the micky when you say you want someone to take there newq, £250 gun part so you can see what it looks like. ive got one and if you asked me to i would tell you where to go. if in time i needs stripping then i no doubnt will take piccies and help make a repair guide for it but less than a 2 weeks after they get into the uk. i mean be fair

Thanks, ~Tyler <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Watch the video And yeah, i had to strip it when i knocked the front site out, and took the stock to look at it, and managed to rip a wire out of a plug, but i fixed that Yeah, no camera = no pics, comprende? booyaah
I understand!!! That was just a question and a reformulation of it... Sorry, I am not try to abuse of your kindness... Best regards.
realityknight
Soloman, does it appear to be possible to hollow out the stock to fit a larger battery? Either a standard 9.6v or one of the specially shaped batteries?
Soloman
Ah no problem dude. I wass just a bit ###### off this morning And in answer to your question realityknight, it should be able to be modded to take a 9.6, as there is a little trutition on the inside of the stock, that if you remove, should be allright to fit a 9.6v. Not sure why you'd want to the RoF is insane on it's own atm! After comparing it to other AEGs, it appears to have the RoF of one with a 9.6 installed. Cheers.

I figure that once it gets upgraded it'll loose some of that inherent ROF. And besides, Your ROF can never be too high.
Soloman
Hehehehe. It's when you're emptying hicaps in a couple of seconds you should be worried . Yeah, the internals are pretty upgraded, so you'd proberly only need to whack a new spring in possibly.
Hustie
Does it have metal bushings?
The Reptile House
Your ROF can never be too high It can if you're worried about using too much ammo. Anyway, a 9.6 can be accomodated in the stock with no problem.
Soloman
Metal bushings, i'm not sure, i think so, you would have thought they would have learnt that from their m4s. Edited February 24, 2006 by Soloman
Soloman
I just put my newly aquired 8.4v 3700 mah batt in this thing, the RoF is Godlike. I think it should be fine with a 9.6v.
The Reptile House
Anybody got an idea as to why none of the HK stores are carrying this gun. Is the UK the test market or something? Also, has anyone actually opened one of these up? Th externals are great, but I don't even know if the bushings are steel.
Soloman
I don't honestly trust myself opening it up, try sending zeroone an email
LT Tahoe
These aren't yet available here in the US, either--apparently they are changing the motor. Maybe they sent it to a limited market for testing?

Soloman
Heh, i'm happy with the rof And i'm not putting a new spring it it, so that don't mean a thing
rizzo
Just got mine today, very impressed. ROF is fast, and range is the same as any stock ICS AEG. Haven't got a chrono, but I'll be near one tomorrow
Fodder
Anybody got an idea as to why none of the HK stores are carrying this gun. Is the UK the test market or something? I just got back from playing all day today at CombatGames and it was in some of the stores - WAR4 has it, and UN Co. has it on their website... the rest will follow suit shortly! I just bought my Star m249 Para a month ago, but I'm just about ready to buy this now! haha Al.
