Sarge133
I've read this entire thread and I was wondering, is this gun truly worth the price? or should I just look at CA or G&G for my AK fix?
Droc
mine had a bad motor, but ICS sent me a T3000 replacment works fine, shoots great. Added a MS120sp and it drills out BBs perfectly.
Chill_Bebop
Its an excellent buy. i got mine a few weeks ago, and Im blown away by it. Its a great performer, and IMO beats CA outright in body looks and feel, and matches the G&G perfectly. Its a great buy, and I dont regret it at all.
Pik_ACE
Finally got my ICS, the new "pre-upgraded" version: - Turbo 3000 motor - reinforced motor&bevel gear - steel bushings - low resistance wires Note the changed upper receiver (ribbed)... Here few snaps with SWD POSP scope: More photos and comparison to real steel AK74M (almost, heh - its Izmash Yunker airgun) here: http://www.ace.elknet.pl/ftp/zdjecia/ics_ak74/index.htm Greetings! Sephirothiel
Here few snaps with SWD POSP scope: Can you mount a PSO-1 scope on it, or it only accept PSO-2 scopes?
Pik_ACE
No problem with PSO-1 mounting (on the snaps is belorusian version of PSO, the POSP: http://www.posp.ru/posp.html ), however the scope with SVD clamp is very low over receiver (the scope almost "touch" the cover). TK8177
i got mine too with all the accessories s/n 2601621 rof is great and i cant wait to use in the battlefield!
nuclearfeet
If you get the newest version of the gun, and not one of the lemons(I heard some people were getting fubar-ed guns out of the box), it is really a fantastic gun. I use mine stock with a PK-A reddot scope, and once the hopup sets in, it's amazingly accurate. One of my favorite guns to bring to the skirmish site.
TK8177
someone know where we can buy a cheap AK optic mount? i have found this: http://www.safarasoftair.com/product_info....036&language=en but 50 euro it's too much.. better price from EU countries? Vitiyaz
I`m sorry to disappoint you, but the gun isn´t a replica of the AK-74M. Its more likely a late 80`s AK-74N. Therefore it should have plum coloured furniture. The letter N means that the gun has a sight mount at the left hand side of the receiver. The real AK-74M has a longer barrel, a different type muzzle brake and a sidefolding plastic stock. Here´s what it should look like, if it was a replica of AK-74M http://www.kalashnikov.guns.ru/models/ka104.html And here´s the RS model of the ICS gun. Notice the plum furniture and the sight mount (you can see it on the other pics at http://tantal.kalashnikov.guns.ru/pro11.html ) http://tantal.kalashnikov.guns.ru/media/ak-74nplumfull.jpg And what comes to my personal experiences on the AK, it should be much better considering the price of it. The cylinder set of the mech leaks a lot. So much, that mine chronoed only 87m/s with a Systema M100 spring. The piston itself is poor in quality. The receivers markings should be АВ and ОД, not AB and OA (for those ho dont know what they mean, АВ stands for Avtomati = Automatic and ОД stands fot Odiny = Single). The markings are also located wrong. AB should be a couple millmeters lower that it is on this gun. This causes the fire selector to move a bit downwards when you pull the bolt. The barrel of my guns was a total fiasco. The hole for the hopup rubber was too small and the range with the standard barrel was approx 15-20 meters. The motor is quite poor also. Seems that when you cant build a good motor, you can give it at least a name that sounds powerful (Turbo 3000). What comes to the stock, it looks horrible. The buttplate slides off too easy. This caused my guns wirings to rip off from their connectrors, when the buttplate fell off and so did the battery.
