is anyone having troubles with there magazine not feeding into the gun??? I always have to spin the wheel at the bottom to make the bb's go into the gun.

make sure to FULLY winde up the mag before using. When you're done winding, you'll hear the sound of the clicks change to a thunk.

edit: oops, tommygun, didn't see you had already replied :D

Agree on the winding - I have 'emptied' a mag on a single wind, I have a funny feeling it could've gone for more - but then again who needs winding ;)

@m4ris_spec - I could only think of cosmetic upgrades at the moment only hopefully, the attachments I put in below will give you enough ideas.

I couldnt help it - some more rice pictures

With the SMag - the 'H' sticker will get covered up :( .

Havent tried the SMag yet - for the love of crikes - I have no BBs in the house!

But it fits on the magwell as snug as a bug in a rug. I might do a separate review/pictograph of this if nobody's done it yet. I hope to skirmish with it this April fools :)

and now nekkid pictures of....

my gearbox, after next week :D

Awsome looking. How many rounds does it hold, and what is the name of that scopr? Also how much have you spent on each item?

Are you using an 8.4-volt?

If so, don't. That would explain it.

9.6 volt should work.

What he said...couldnt emphasize enough - 8.4v wont drive this rifle - at least to be skirmishable.

IF you dont skirmish and all you do is plink, use the 8.4v - your quality time wont improve, but you get to use it...some more donts on 8.4v batts:

1. Dont empty the mag in one trigger pull

2. Dont press on the trigger when you experience a lock up. Learn trigger discipline, once you hear/feel the lock up sound - let go of the trigger.

The reason why your fuse blows because its the AEG protecting itself.

When the battery voltage/amps (not sure which) drop low enough - it will attempt to drive the motor.

The motor is trying to pull a spring it cant drive - I suppose the spring is too strong. That 'locks' the motor - its trying to move it doesnt have enough juice.

Net effect - the motor is straining, the battery is straining - both start to heat up. You've got all that power not flowing and its enough to cause the fuse to melt to cut the connection.

Get the better batts (9.6v double nunchuck), you will have a far more satisfying time with them.

Yeah i have a 9.6v double nunchuck and i am mainly using semi-auto. So when i am firing on semi it just stops and i find that the fuse is blown. I have gon through like 2-3 already!!

Forgot to answer that one...2500 rounds capacity, its a BSA Red Dot Scope.

How much I spent? Lets just say the rice stuff are worth more than the gun.

A rundown from front to back:

1. Rails

2. Folding Vertical Foregrip

3. Carrying handle rail adapter

4. BSA Red dot sight

5. 2x see through lens covers

6. Star SMag

Future - either a cheekpiece or a crane stock. Possible anpeq/flashlight or bipods, or a home made mock silencer but that makes the gun so front heavy I dont think its practical for the way I play my game (casual/occasional). The possibilities are endless, whats in your wallet?

Regarding alasz11's comment about the tightbore - maybe - but I'd like to take a caliper - or whatever measuring tool to verify my inner barrel's diameter.

Really? Huh... I'm suprised. What battery do you have? Maybe it isn't being charge fully? I haven't heard anything but positive reports about using a 9.6v, you're the first one having a problem I think.

I know it is full charged because i use the RC chargers because it charges the battery until it is full.

Dude... scroll up, look at the first page, and READ THE THREAD.

Please, for the love of God- 'SERCH U NOOB' is one thing, but considering several pictures are right above you, there's no excuse here.

EDIT- Nevermind.

But still, can't you find a Marui M4, or pictures of the countless other ones? Basically, the same thing, there's not going to be much difference. Not many people have AIM M4s, yet, so you can look for thousands of other options in the Armalite thread.

Ah, well- you want this, fine.

*nods* first time I'm hearing that for the 9.6v.

I have run mine on 9.6v semi and full auto in 1-2 second burst (several mags worth already) but no problems.

Where did get your M4A1 from? This sounds like a problem from v1 which only a very few retailers got - and I saw you got yours pretty recently IIRC.

The only reason I could think is what alasz11 said. Make sure your batt and charger are compatible. Failing that, contact the store you bought it from. I'm pretty sure they can help you resolve that.

EDIT: If you are using an R/C charger make sure the polarities are correct - Im pretty sure you knew that, I just wanted to reiterate, remember mini tam Airsoft connectors are reverse of what regular R/C connectors are (e.g. + is on the round block for airsoft and - for R/C). Sounds like you got an intelligent charger so I wont make the assumption its an NICD only charger.

But I digress - if you are certain its not the batts - contact the store - see if you can exchange it - looks like you got it only recently. There is no need to suffer and not use what you bought. When I buy something I expect it to work within reason.

No harm in trying Bobs suggestion of other M16/M4 threads - thats where I got the idea to try the SMags and the Scope covers. Look around, take the ideas you like and discard the ones that dont meet your fancy.

@specialistCQB - I'm gonna try that when I zero my red dot sight. But sadly, I am all out of BBs right now :(:headbutt:

Should you ditch your MP5? You're asking questions which is good - but I would go beyond accuracy. What do you feel about the MP5 now? Is it performing any less than what you expect/will be happy with? Or is it because you have to have the newer stuff? Have you enjoyed airsoft enough to say - this is not doing well for me. Just some friendly advise, not meant to be taken/misconstrued the wrong way :elmo:

@CapaciousZepher - when the version 1 was out I only saw Evike selling the rifles (no offense to the retailer, just what I know - if somebody else can say the contrary, please inform us).

I received mine late Feb - the store guaranteed it to be v2 and I trust them. What I would ask is - if Airsoft Atlanta is willing to answer and if you do a little digging:

1. How did AA get their stocks? Were they air shipped or sea freight?

2. When did they receive their initial stock?

Once you know #2 - count back - if it was air freight then count back 7 working days, if it was sea freight - and this could be variable - count back 45 - 90 calendar days (thats how long seafreight normally takes to get to the US).

If the timing hits around the late Feb time frame then it should be version 2.

I cant exactly tell when v2 shipped out - most probably after Chinese New Year (mid Feb?), you can check out airsoftmart's own section in these forums.

Maybe a little bit for peformance (fps), but it's mainly for the looks. The MP5 peforms pretty good, but most of my friends are getting new guns (ICS MP5, TM M16a2), so I was wondering if I can't compete, I would probably have to get a new gun, and I love m4's, and this is the cheapest one that is an AEG. So I was wondering if I did have to get a new gun or upgrade, should I get the AIM m4.
