HaVoC
You mentioned that on t'other forums Yeah, I got them a week ago and I've not had a chance to go out in them yet. 'Breaking them in' has involved wearing them round the house thus far.

Fixed. -Jake

starburst
Nice HaVoc, yours is one of the first ACU setups which makes me think ACU could look good and think about getting any. The boots need roughing up. I know. They're brand new. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not necessarily, could be an operator who has just got them and hasnt seen much use with them, what sort of boots are they? Need some new hiking boots (Magnum Elites are getting a bit old now)
HaVoC
They're Scarpa ZG65 XCRs (in black). The standard insoles are rubbish so I stuck a pair of CushNStep ones in there (highly recommended, by the way) and they're wonderful now. Scarpa make great hikers.
nilz
MICH is also on the kitlist although I think I'll hang on and grab a real one at Beltring itself, rather than shell out for either a real one that I can't see on eBay, or a replica one. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nice kit, even if it is ACU. If you can't source a real MICH, Flecktarn do a really nice replica TC2000 that doesn't make your wallet cry. Made of a nice thick material, rough outside finish, quite weighty and the suspension system is comfortable. The pads are even some kind of memory foam.
HaVoC
I'm after a 2001 or a 2002, ideally. The 2000 makes a headset like the Lib-IIs crush the sides of your head in - it's a really tight fit.

HaVoC
They're Goretex lined, supportive and have a good Vibram sole so they should be good to go for both. Also take a look at Meindl, Lowa, Danner and, if you can find them, Zamberlan. Edited May 8, 2007 by HaVoC

Tommygunn
No offence about the Pakol but it looks like a fakey. Strange fabric and badly put together.

HaVoC
From Go~Gear A teammate of mine called roamer13 runs it himself. Click my sig image, go to the forums, register, and enquire in his sub-forum. Might be a fair lead time on the stuff though, since he prioritises serving soldiers (quite rightly) and, to my knowledge, they all get their kit free of charge. There are a bunch of guys using his kit in the sandbox right now, in fact. Edited May 8, 2007 by HaVoC
jnr4817
thank you, i have a brother(USMC) who is playing in the sandbox. I also work for the army. I will give him a ring. I appreciate it. Jason

Nervikaire
Posted in the latest acquisition, but meh Missing TT 90 degree panel for the radio pouch and AITES Nalgene pouch. The rig will be pretty complete after that. I needed a rig that sits really high, seems i'll be satistfied
the roob
nice rig! can you comment on your headset? brand, retailer, price quality etc.
Nervikaire
It's an ''heavy duty headset'' for Yaesu VX-6R/VX-7R/VX-177. Quality is great, the ptt and the connector are both made to retain the water resistance of the radio. Only weakness is the mic but I don't plan in submerging it Went with this headset because of the cheap price (around 20 USD) and because the VX-177 has a pretty unique connector for the mic/speaker... (Got it on ebay btw, store was radioaccessories or something along those lines) Edited May 8, 2007 by Nervikaire
