Kyrian_Zenda
Well, you just saw some fine examples in the previous page, amigo. I'm seeing a lot of movie loadouts, but are there any other loadouts based on like games or books or imagination out there?
exoframe2
I don't have a good photo of the entire suit put together...but I thought you folks might like to see my Smartgun Pic 2 Pic 3 Pic 4 Some custom made linked 'caseless' rounds. Pic 5 It's all built with a wide assortment of parts- MG-42 replica, UK and Japanese motorcycle parts, MG-42 parts, and some custom pieces. The switches do still work. I have the big red horn switch wired to an RCA connector so I can use it to trigger a sound-effects card linked to a speaker. If only there was an affordable MG-42...I might CONSIDER giving it the treatment. The wiring would certainly be easy enough. But then again, I would probably use it as-is. A smartgun is a pretty imposing piece of machinery though
Kyrian_Zenda
Wow, that's a nice piece of hardware. Did you make it all yourself?
exoframe2
I assembled the entire thing, but I bought most of the component pieces such as the MG42 parts and motorcycle parts. It's been a work-in-progress over the past three and a half years.
Kyrian_Zenda
Wow, cool cool. Did you make it up as you went, or did you use a tutorial? How much did it cost overall (hours and airsoft tokens )?
exoframe2
The only tutorial I had was the movie (Aliens, of course) and some behind the scenes photos of Jeannete Goldstein and Mark Ralston with the guns. It was built on a pretty low budget, probably about $450-500 spread out since mid 2002. Time though, tons. When I was building it I would spend a good 6 hours a day well into the middle of the night out in the garage. JB Weld and my Dremel are lifesavers. I mounted it on my car at one point for grins:
raj_uk
hi all i'm surprised there are no stargate loadout photos i always wanted a predator loadout but i guess it's too difficult to have a shoulder mounted, head tracking airsoft gun Raj
exoframe2
i always wanted a predator loadout <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My wife's in there somewhere A suit her and I put together for a convention. Ghost_Rider
Don't suppose you'd let me have a copy of the plans for that femal pred suit?
exoframe2
We didn't really follow a plan their either. Molded and cast our own armor pieces, but if you're interested I can get some pictures of the individual pieces this weekend.
Ghost_Rider
I'll be really honest here - H_M is looking to do pretty much exactly that outfit for halloween this year. Any assistance you can provide would be gratefully recieved.
Kyrian_Zenda
Gotta post up some pics, that should be interesting. Plus, isn't Predator armour tailored to suit the wearer, ie. personal to them, much like a lightsaber is personal to the Jedi?
TerranCmdr
your stormtrooper suit rocks!!! wear it to your next skirmish and freak people out as the bb's bounce off you and you feel no pain!!!!!! killing machine! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Lol have you even seen Star Wars? Whoracle
The smartgun and the predator suit look great. If I had a ton of money to waste, I'd do a full Colonial Marine outfit and grab a thompson and pulse rifle kit. Somebody should do a suit from F.E.A.R.
