TriChrome
holy cow, point in the direction of these gearboxes please. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=7575 With all those colourful parts, it sure is pimpin' <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope. That's not it at all. That gearbox you linked to in my opinion is garbage (unless you like dremmeling and filing for many, many, hours to get it to fit in your gearbox, and like feeding problems). The one I'm talking about is this: http://www.andairsoft.com/preoraaexv2b.html Fits ANY gun with a V2 gearbox (unlike the PGC which only works in M16 varients). Here's a thread on this forum all about it: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/inde...topic=46229&hl=

The Icon
The way you mounted the M203 reminds me of a Diemaco C7. Looks good.
evansy
its mounted with gaffer tape and luck its a G&P barrel mounted m203 for marui m16's fitted to a CA m15a2 so its just the loop at the front and the trigger guard that keep it from moving. with the foregrip i just cut the bottom half into 2 pieces then dremel'd it untill it fit cut off the lugs that fit into the D-ring and superglued them onto the top handguard. ABcolt
I demand more sexy armalite pictures! Need something more to drool over!
stevorob
I got bored and tried to take some decent pictures. It's pretty much done. Probably going to add a crane stock and a buis in the future. Then I'll work on some internal upgrades... probably a tightbore/hop bucking.
Frequency
When it comes to reliability issues, any Ver. 2 gearbox stands up to a real challenge when facing the rugged reliability of the Ver. 3 gearbox. But when it comes to Pimpin', the Ver. 2 is surely the king of the hill... I have seen so many Armalites break down in the field, the most common thing for the Ver. 2 gearbox is that it cracks and breaks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> we were talking about this after the game the other day, my stock V2 mechbox shell which runs an M120 and 9.6V 3300mAh battery is still going strong after approx 1/4 of a million rounds only crapped out on me once when a shimming oversight had the bevel gear too loose and wore out the teeth on it (my bad )

TroubleShooter
I am pending a trade for either a ICS PEQ and rear flip sight for my m15a4 RIS or a sidearm. I can only get one or the other :/ What do you guys think? Is the stock CA PEQ that hidious that I should get a new one? or should I just stick with it and get my sidearm. I just dont know since the PEQ and sight are more for cosmetic purpose. AHH just wish I could have both... Edited July 25, 2006 by TroubleShooter
Classicx
stevorob, nice gun. Do you know if all Classic Army armalites come with the same new internals (like the m15 CQB)?

Do you know if all Classic Army armalites come with the same new internals (like the m15 CQB)? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, they don't. - 6mm bushing gearboxes in the M15 C/TC/Rifle - 7mm bearing gearboxes in the RIS/SPC/CQB - Bearing spring guide, bearing piston head, modified wiring switch, and some reinforced internal bits in the CQB Check CA's website for details. davedawg123
7mm bearings provide faster ROF than 6mm bushings.
