Possibly South Africa and possibly Egypt. Other than those? Nope. Most of them have wound up in Israel, the other Americas, the Phillipines, various states in the Baltic and Balkans, and the Republic of China.

Because we've never had a single African colony?

The American Colonization Society established Liberia as a place to send freed African-Americans.

Match point.

And Ubar, you're not supposed to talk about it mate. See you at H.

Which would be the American Colonization Society. Not the United States government. Saying that the United States established Liberia as an American colony is like saying that the attack on Harper's Ferry was launched by the United States government.

Agreed, SUSAT is a fantastic system, especially so at 100M plus.  You can't fail to hit things with them when shooting.

Which, at the end of the day, is the most important thing in combat. The further away you can shoot the enemy, the less chance he has to stick pointy bits of metal into you.

How about get a SCAR and stick an SUSAT on it? yes, no, mayb?

Thats a thought, can you get an adaptor to bolt a SUSAT onto other weapons (the mountings different isnt it?) as Ive seen a STAR adaptor so you could put other sights on their SA80 but how about other way round?

Interesting reading...

Notes:

The Dutch use ELCANs on their Diemacos, and their own bastardisation of DPM hence maybe the confusion?

FN FALs were/are Belgian, although the SLR was made in Britain under license.

The M14 was great in it's day, but even the new versions don't quite live up to expectations according to most current US gun mags 'serving' contibutor's.

The FN FAL is the most widely used postwar military rifle. Ok, more AK variants have been produced, but more countires have adopted the FAL than any other mil rifle- over 30- more than the AK.

The FN FAL has legally culled more elephants than any other gun. Totally off topic, but interesting and surprising fact I'm sure.. ;) )

The US Army has ordered and receieved DSA's FAL Shorty with folding stock and obligatory rails for issue to some specialist units that require a compact 7.62.

ps, I'm a big fan of FN FALs..

Anyway, carry on chaps..
