Catman
Bit of a necro but I did this quick Mag takedown guide for someone on the forums and thought that a copy of it should live here. This is just a guide on how to get the valve out the back of the mag: Quick Valve Removal Guide (no large pics for this one) First get the allen key and start unscrewing that screw. I find it better to have the valve reset as if you were about to charge the mag with gas. Keep unscrewing, once the screw isn't being held in the spring on the valve will cause the backplate to pop out a little: You need a mag valve tool, here's one I have made by Guarder (if you don't have one trying to get the valve out is ultra-messy and not worth trying - get a mag valve tool to do the job): Stick the tool over the valve and line it up so the valve fits into the tool: And then just unscrew the valve: That's it now you can service the valve or stick in your new one

hitmanNo2
I would have thought it would be the same as the other SCW systems slide stripping procedure. Check out this video http://airsoft-innovations.com/vids/fr_scw_lg.mov
LuckyKai
ohh i see, i already download the video about installing AI Flow Restrictor but, to remove my WA Magna-Tech blowback system parts in the slide, it's a little bit hard if compared from AI Video with WA SCW2 guns, i'm afraid to break the slide if i push harder, maybe i'll try later if i already have Metal slide Thanks hitmanNo2

Wraith18A
As much as I hate dragging up old threads, it is some relevant info: The movie links no longer work. None of the movies on AI were working when I went there today, as I was trying to get my own metal body project going.
hitmanNo2
I have the SCW slide disassembly video on my comp. Is there somewhere where I can upload quicktime vids, or do I need to convert to avi and put it on youtube or something?

Catman
I have the SCW slide disassembly video on my comp. Is there somewhere where I can upload quicktime vids, or do I need to convert to avi and put it on youtube or something? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hmmm I might still have it but if you want to shove it up on YouTube please do - you should just be able to upload straight up there. In the meantime I'll check around see if I still have it
hitmanNo2
Well, I uploaded it, but it was rejected, saying it was too long, even though theres videos on there longer than it. Guess i'll have to chop it and re-upload.
Catman
I can't find the CD I got from AI with it on, it's not on my machine and the mov file I download earlier today doesn't work on my machine, I tried YouTube on the off chance but it rejected with 'invalid format':/ YouTube only allows movie files upto 100mb in size, I think you can get more but I've never looked into it. Cheers for trying to upload it HitmanNo2
Catman
I just got a nice copy of the technical diagram and have uploaded it to my web server so I thought I'd post a copy of it here: WA 1911 SCW2 Exploded Diagram
mystic
Wow, very nicely laid out diagrams and explanations Catman. Man, this would've helped me in 2005 when I put my SCW2 full metal Kimber Marsoc together haha. But it is good to have here for others to see as well. Btw Catman, were you able to confirm that the SCW2 hammer and SCW3 hammer are the same?
hkssr20det
They are different in design. The firing pins are different as well.
neo035
hello i'm looking for this piece: piece because this piece in my weapon is broken... i don't know where to find it... HELP!!
Mathub
SCW3 and SCW2 hammers are different, but slightly. You can modify a scw2 to fit a scw3 firing pin. And a SCW3 can fit a scw2 firing pin. And you can use a scw2 hammer and firing pin in a scw3 gun. And you can use a SCW3 hammer with scw2 firing pin in a scw2 gun. Is that clear ?
