r.ocelot
I tried using a scw2 firing pin with a SCW3 sear/disconnector set, it would often get hooked onto the bottom of the magazine valve. Should you choose to use a SCW2 sear setup in a SCW3 gun, you'll need a SCW2 thumb safety.
Mathub
I didn't notice difference between SCW2 and scw3 thumb safety. Sure the sear is different. To me, on a scw3 gun, sear, sear disconnector and leaf spring are related.
neo035
thank you very much, my problem is repaired!
r.ocelot
Take a look at the locking part of the thumb safety, compared to a SCW2 safety, that section on a SCW3 is "flipped".
neo035
now i want to know how to disassembled the magazine, to change the valve (i've a high performance valve in stock and i don't know how to do the changement... ) HELP!
r.ocelot
Remove the screw on the back, and use a WA valve key/needle nosed pliers to remove the valve.
Catman
now i want to know how to disassembled the magazine, to change the valve (i've a high performance valve in stock and i don't know how to do the changement... ) HELP! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Errr page 2? I got a Guarder Hi-flow valve the other day, damn it's rubbish my gun fires like an NBB with it in now (and no it's not the hammer springs fault I have a 150% spring in there). r.ocelot
Try CP 150% one way.
hkssr20det
CP all the way, the red valve. But I have a Guarder and it works fine. You might need an extended firing pin.
Catman
Ahh cheers, I have a "Guarder Enhanced Firing Pin For WA S.C.W. Ver. 2" (GD-PT-WA05SCW) from WGC on order along with a "Shooters Design POM Loading Nozzle Set For WA SCW SV Series" (SD-PT-S714) plus some more "little" bits I'll have a look at the CP valve
0 armalite 0
Now grip the safety catch and pull, you might need to wiggle it a bit. Carful as the pin and spring will fly out. woops. Now I'm missing both pins and the spring from my P14.45, and it still doesn't work. back to the drawing board.
hitmanNo2
See if you can find someone who recently upgraded their 1911 with one of the new Prime kits that come with replacement pins. Then you'll just need to source a small spring which shouldn't be that hard. In fact, I think I have a spare set of pins around somewhere. I'll pm you if/when I find them. s85sss
i've installed my metal frame on the defender but now the safety grip doesn't have any use,it it always disengaged...is it normal??
hitmanNo2
Thats Prime (i'm assuming) tolerances for you. You could try getting another grip safety (maybe real steel so it will be over sized) that requires you fit it around the trigger bar. It sounds like the protrusion on your current grip safety is too high up so it can't block the trigger bar.
s85sss
i don't know what is,but if i swap to the wa frame it works but only if i am lucky...i read that RS safety need fitting,is it easy for a newbie?are4 you sure is not just to do with the leafspring? chris u'5
I finally managed to get hold of replacement frame for my Marsoc that was in good condition and I installed it this afternoon using Catman's excellent guide. I had no problems and got everything stripped and back together again but now when I tilt the pistol forward and back there is something inside that is moving and it is making a noise. I stripped the pistol again as I figured it must be something in the sear pin area but it made no difference. Does anyone have any ideas? Also the thread on one of the bottom grip screw bushings has worn on the new frame, is there a way that I can remove the grip bushings from my old frame and swap them over? Thanks guys, Chris
