Smith5
Ill be going away later this summer and wont be using my guns for a good few months. My question is this. Will an aeg sit un-used for months on end, then when you pick it up to use it again it works exactly the same as when you left it. Or, will things need tightening, re-greasing, etc etc before you use it again. Bit of a random thought but I thought I'd ask it anyway.
Nothingness
As long as you rest the spring and turn the hop up off I'd assume it'd be fine.
ColSanders
You'll definately need to charge your battery and load your mags... otherwise there's nothing in there that's particularly time sensitive.
systema
I've just read that keeping the spring decompressed (firing a couple shots in semi), disconnecting the battery, and undialing the hopup are good ideas when letting an AEG sit for long periods of time. It would probably be logical that everything should be exactly as you left it, unless your room/closet/storage place is extremely dusty, in which case a barrel plug would do nicely. You could clean and lube the barrel when you return, but either way, it's pretty minute and could be overlooked.
Nothingness
Oh yeah, the battery. I always take my batteries out and figured that was normal.... but yeah, maybe cover the barrel up with something or keep the gun in it's original box.
Smith5
Well I keep all my guns in locked gun cases, so dust and dirt wont be a problem. Hop off, lube the barrel when I return to them; got it. Think I can manage that
airsofter22
Yer, I always take the batteries out and keep the gun in it's box so that dust won't mess it up.
