Some quick details about this one (i'm not english and my review isn't over.. :D )

Inokatsu M-60E3 kits fits these caracteristics:

-1200/1400USD Retail price

-M60 E3 Long version, with bipod and forearm grip

-Quick Change barrel without the need to take the ammobox off

-delivery fully dissasembled in a big foam insert inside a cardboard box, with an extra wiring set, an inner barrel and all body parts

This kit are built for an AK-Version 3 gearbox, you need to add the following parts to make it functionnal :

-One M60 Ammobox from Inokatsu (Type 1,2 or 3)

-One Version III gearbox with engine cage, engine and full internals except all the wiring, switch and cut-off system

-One battery (all types may fit)

-some patience

-> About Assembly

A few months before purchase, i received nice details about this item by Paul Chu (Redwolf Airsoft) being easy to assemble, very strongly built, extremely nicely finished and reliable

30-40 minutes to assemble the whole replica were announced, using the included instruction brochures and the demonstration CD

Once i received everything, and killed an AK Aeg to get the gearbox (it was not possible to get all spare parts at this time), i get started one evening after work .. :P

To be short, if you run easily out of patience, it will be pain in the a** to assemble:

-instruction manual is very nice and full of colour pictures, but steps ARE missing to built the kit, you have like 1,2,3.... to Step 10, but 1.5 and 2.5 and so on are missing ..

-no Demonstration CD provided with the first versions (i get one of the first ones with a 2 units batch)

-Inokatsu provides you some "spare parts" just in case you loose one screw or two, but in the end, you got some parts left in the box ! it may cause some irreversible damages to the usual Airsoft technician's brain..

By the way, after two hours of VERY VERY slow assembly, everything was ready for use. Easy, but more care is always better than stupid rush when it comes to mechanical parts.

At this cost it would be silly to hurry to assemble it anyway...

-About what's in the box

Once finished, you get an 1070mm piece of metal including stamped steel and aluminum, firing from a 1400bs trigger synchronised realistic ammobox..

All kind of batteries can fit in the M60's stock, you have a lot of space, enought to put a Large type 10.8V or even several smaller batteries.

You can change the battery by taking off the buttplate (2 screws), you have both Tamiya mini and Large connectors provided and a fuse box is installed, so you might save some space for a huge battery by building a simplified wiring.

The gearbox's engine is directly connected to the battery via the pistol grip trigger's switch, wich means no inner-gearbox electrical contact, no Selector plate, no semi-auto and no electrical safety.

By using the provided trigger-group, you have no need to keep the switch system and the original trigger from your Version III gearbox

Feeding is provided by the Inokatsu ammobox of your choice, both Type 1 and Type 2 are housing the same mechanism, when Type 3 are using a highcap mag with the need of manual winding

Here is pictured the Type 2 gearbox, wich requires to take off the Feed-tray side plate to lock the ammobox securely in it's place. To use the winding system, you have to connect the ammobox via the red wiring to the main wiring behind the gearbox passing by the feed tray.

Each time you press the trigger, the battery feeds both the Gearbox and the Ammobox permanently widing and feeding the gearbox.

Note: the red wiring installed to connect the ammobox uses Mini Type tamiya connectors, so there is no problem to manually connect a battery to the box to pre-wind before use or save power for the gearbox.

Note (2): Type 2 ammobox connecting hose locks itself to the M60's body by a side screw, and can be installed or taken off pretty fast. The inner spring-hose is locked to the bottom of the Hop-up unit by a side hex wrench, dont forget to set it tight !

The ammobox includes a good lenght of fake plastic 7.62 Nato cartridges for display.

Both Iron sights are fully fonctionnal, and the rear sight is a flip-up type Ladder sight.

Like his real counterpart, the folding carry handle has a rubberised surface like the half of the Feed tray top cover. Both the Feed tray and the Top cover are spring-loaded and can be opened or closed-locked.

One of the most interesting detail about this kit is the Quick Change Barrel ability, without loosing any pellet inside with a winded ammobox :

to dismount the barrel, you have to pull firmly the left side of the locking lever just in front of the rear sight, and turn the right side of the lever by about 40°.

The whole barrel assembly comes out (spring loaded) and can be carried by the attached handle.

To ensure a reliable feeding and assembly/dissasembly operation, the Hop-up unit isn't molded alloy but a blue anodized CNC machined part

You can adjust the Hop-up using the top hexagonal screw on this blue part. Giving more hop-up effect is done by dialing clockwise, a little hole made in the barrel assembly allows you to adjust the Hop-up without dissasembly by using your Hex wrench just in front of the rear sight.

The E3 type bipod can be folded or deployed and locked in both positions, and you can adjust the lenght by using a top button to almost twice the original lenght.

Like all other parts in this kit, the bipod is made of strong materials, here no more cheap alloy and welcome to thick stamped steel.

You can attach either a 2 or 3 points sling by using two sling points, one on the bottom of the buttplate and one on the gas tube under the barrel, just before the bipod. Both are of very thick and hard construction.

-> Finally ?

It's hard to find any "cons" against this one after viewing and using this kind of finish, strenght, beauty and clever construction.

Nevertheless:

-the ammobox suffers from few mistakes in construction, there is room fore more pellets (but it can modified), the winding system inside the pocket lacks of protection and can be exposed to shock or damage (Type 2 ammobox), but can be easily accessed by the bottom

The connecting hose is prone to disconnection because it's not secured enought in the Hop-up mechanism and tend to "come with" the ammobox if you pull this one

I have solved easily this problem on assembly by putting some duct-tape around the hose to avoid any move once installed between the inner parts.

-the Hop-up dialing is hard, because to rise the hop-up effect you have to press more on the bucking directly via a hex screw, and may be prone to loosing the setting when firing

It can be solved by adding a little rubber piece between the bucking and the screw, and by using some Loctite against unscrewing (a very little bit) to add more strenght to the dial

-it may be boring to have to take off the buttplate each time you have to change the battery (you may use another type of screw, or even velcro to save time if you are some kind of incomplete batteries trigger-happy user..)

-trigger pull is heavy to ensure smooth action in the trigger group (the trigger assembly is massive), i'll try to change it later, it can be done easily by dissassembling the trigger group using 3 screws

-Info- you have no more to buy a complete AK replica to take the gearbox off for your Inokatsu kit, thanks to Guarder/Intruder Shop for manufacturing a reinforced engine case

That's the last part needed to gather all internals needed for the kit:

Gearbox case, engine cage, gearbox top plate, short engine, anti Reversal latch assembly, tappet plate assembly, cylinder assembly, gears, bushings, piston & spring assembly

Full wirings provided with extra wires for high voltage, spare screws for the receiver or the front set. Inner Barrel, Guarder & Marui buckings included.

More than one meter of aluminium and steel without a bit of plastic, realistic to each milimeter square, carrying a perfet surface finish (say goodbye to cheap painting) and with a nearly infinite battery space, full markings, unique serial number, functionnal iron sights, feed tray and cover, quick detach barrel, with anything else than Marui reliability for internals..

Doesn't that looks like heaven ?
