Sledge
Sorry, but how is shooting left and right a good thing? i cant see a practical benefit... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are right handed. You are about to come to the end of a wall, where you will need to be able to shoot. Would you rather come completely out of cover and shoot right-handed, or be able to shoot from cover by switching the gun to your left hand?
Bob_Marley
It also, supposedly, allowes quicker reaction to an ambush from the "wrong" side as the southpaws dont have to turn to enguage.
aznsk8s87
matt: no you do not need any head protection whatsoever. However, I just usually wear a combat cap/boonie/baseball cap depending on what loadout I'm using. Just make sure your eyes are covered! that's the most important part. (only competition was his DE M47 pistol grip, but competition none the less) Don't worry we both wore eye protection. I found slings are not good for switching shoulders... aznsk8s87
Depends how much slack is on the sling, i find i can switch shoulders in less than a second.

Just make sure your eyes are covered! that's the most important part. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> though the important part is covering your eyes, the next important part is protecting your head. CQB is indoors, and indoors only...MOUT is outdoor urban, its a whole new world...CQB is in confined spaces with limited mobility...you basically are required to wear a helmet for your safety and keeping it as respectable as possible...Ive been to more than enough places to know these rules and I see youve been shooting Cymas and such...those hold no power...try a blast from an upgraded TM, youll thank me if you ever play a propper CQB game and you wear a helmet. Azulsky
Yeah thats why for CQB its more feasible to use non upgraded guns(spring wise) Or for MOUT(the indoor part) there is this other function on airsoft guns called semi Just a humble suggestion

Jagdraben
Have you actually been to a properly organised CQB event? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> While organized CQB and MOUT events are quite common in the UK, they are somewhat of a rareity in the US. Especially for those of us who don't live near where those events are generally planned (such as California). Yeah thats why for CQB its more feasible to use non upgraded guns(spring wise) Or for MOUT(the indoor part) there is this other function on airsoft guns called semi Just a humble suggestion <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Some guns (like aging P90s and AUGs) lose the ability to go semi-auto. (Mississippi Airsofter's CQB Team) It is REALLY hard organizing a team... But, I try. So far, it is me and cabcat... If you live in Mississippi, and would like to join (unoficially), send me a PM. Right now, signing up is more to see who would actually be SERIOUS about playing. Also, if you are visiting mississippi, and would like to play, just send me a PM!!!
t_wad
So, so true about the cqb in the U.S. Especially living in Kentucky, where everything is pretty much covered by woods and what not.
joker, the frickin ninja
I honestly would much prefer CQB, but as it is, there is only a couple of woodland sites by where I live (Texas).
MistorPie
The local store over here, GamePod, is trying to set up a MOUT thing in an old hotel!
Harmless
Does anyone know if there a good colour for a torch in smokey conditions. I just played a game in a bunker complex and after pyros, vis was down to 2m and some of it was in total darkness too. When torchs were lit up all I saw was a wall of white,(which tended to attract fire).
Thorbard
I doubt any kind of torch would help you in that situation. If the smoke is that thick, you probably couldn't see even if the room was well lit as well as being filled with smoke. Unless I've misunderstood the situation.
Belladonna
yeah, unless you ahve a 200lumen surefire m4 played lightfighter again, and after hateing vertical grips, i invested in one for my armalite, now its much easier to use... also star realcaps for urban = win
101matt1
How much is the cheapest surefire???
CapaciousZepher
Around $40 for the G2. 65 lumens. 1 hour run time. Poly exterior. Availble in black, tan and OD green. Pretty much the same as their $90 Z2 combat light, except without the aluminum exterior. Both are good lights. Cheers! - CapaciousZepher
Fullauto
Surefire G2 - it's pretty cheap and pretty good too. You'll need to buy a mounting solution for it though (and maybe a tape switch too).
Belladonna
yeah, i got one for 20quid on ebay, and a g&p pressure switch for a fiver, and a 25mm low profile scope mount for it and voila sorted put it on the lower ris rail of my m4 with the vert grip behind it with the pressure switch very good cqb solution i remove both for woodland, when and if i do it.
