Bob_Marley
That does look really rather cool...
sadigh
The first trigger pull seems to do nothing, hope this is just a fault with the prototype
IronWolf
Video works for me, unless its held down off camera the recoil is less then I had hoped for

WickedBassie
That first trigger pull.... Could it have something to do with the safe? he doesn't squeeze it as far as the other pulls when the replica does fire...
kiblets
Hmm, will g&g be producing an LSW version
-=SHODAN=-
Does anyone know when shops in the UK will have it in stock?
sadigh
Does anyone know when shops in the UK will have it in stock? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> AFAIK, nearer to the end of August
EvOrAcEr
Hmm well i only recently got the Star one and im happy with that. The blowback looks rather cool there. But it's G&G. Bound to have problems as all the rest, be like another couple of years before they have a new fully working one.
Pilko
That's a stupid thing to say cos it's just going to spark another round of STAR bashing and we've already had that on the other thread. It gets very boring.
1st Commando
AW will have it in at the end of August/ beginning of September and the first 20 units will cost £295 will subsiquent units costing only a fraction higher
PariahWolf
One of my main questions here, weight. Anyone know the full weight? If not then anyone who's held it want to compare it to the real thing?
SilentSerpent
yea, is it a nice feeling AEG? or is it just a wallhanger? SS
1st Commando
it's comparable to the Star one but i would say slightly nicer balance ! the weight is pretty much the same though being of Steel construction
PariahWolf
What about the finish on it? Is it the nice kind of shiny finish found on the real one? Also trades? What are present and where? Also to the guy who posted those 4 pictures, the last 2 aren't visible to me, anyone else?
1st Commando
the finish didn't appear quite as sniny as the Star/real one although i'm sure afetr a couple of games it would soon start to where the flat finish into more of a shine. trades although i didn't pay great attention appeared all in order and the mag catch is of the correct A1 type with a very stiff catch (no chest rig releases here we hope) the trigger is a black snow cutter as on the real A1 and the bolt area looks better than the star. the foregrip has a slight seam (not much worse than the real A1) which is caused by the way the foregrip splits in half to give access to the battery . an 8.4 mini gives a rate of fire similar to a CA armalite on a large 8.4 or some 9.6 batteries so the blowback will not fail to impress and does not effect the ROF at all. Note definately not for left handers ! unless you have a steel head
PariahWolf
Yeah actually from wolfen's pictures I can see the finish is off, look at the flash hider, that's what it should look like, then look at the barrel and it's slightly to matt. You say the forgrip splits in half? Hmm... Really stuck between getting the star and getting this now.
king_P90
To be honest the G&G isn't that much cheaper, as for the extra £100 you get a £70 hard case and the current L85A2 not the A1. I'm personally glad I didn't wait for the G&G
1st Commando
oh yes forgot to mention that the demo one in the shop came in at 390 fps so similar to a stock star too although the UK version should be between 300-350 fps to meet most site rules
fnfr3ger
this is for giving an idea of the price : in poland it will cost 244 pounds or 346 euro's hers the link http://www.specshop.pl/product_info.php?cu...7b4fb552623314c
sadigh
This gun is going to be great, split gearbox will make the takedown very realistic indeed, with the upper portion of the gearbox remaining in the upper receiver. This will make it really easy to apply grease, and to perform a spring change Can't wait for it to be released
PariahWolf
I really want to get 1 of each side by side and compare. Not sure which way I'm leaning at the moment.
mcde08
How is the ROF i watched the video on the main site and it didnt seem that great. . . . . . . . also is it confermed that it takes M-4/15/16 series mags?
-=SHODAN=-
Which is a better deal? -STAR sa80-410 pounds -STAR sa80+firesupport upgrade-485 pounds -G&G sa80-295 pounds -ICS sa80-?
Pilko
I'm gonna try to order mine from Hong Kong, even with postage and taxes it will probably still be cheaper.
