The Moon was hidden by smoke burning on a mountain side about 2 miles away so the light is low but you can still make out a few good shots of some Awesome B.o.E SF Night fighting . You gotta love the night to move under darkness and have the upper hand on any Opforce but it can go both ways also Thanks to 187 Airborne and guests who made it out .. 79TransAm
Hey Bigcat , we were giving Special clearance for these photos. We were on the flight line in full gear with LT's Col. and enlisted around . The best part is We are in Full rank and Tabs and they were Flattered by our tribute to the Green berets as a team . So I hope this can answer those of you out there who have a problem with ranks on your gear . If the US Army doesnt mind them I don't think Anyone else should.  Carry on ! Lt. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>   Its all fine and dandy that the US Army doesn't mind your representation, which I think is good. My question however is this, were there any active or retired Green Berets there at the base who actually witnessed your wearing of the beret? I'm not trying to come down on you, as I think your representation of a US Army soldier is done very well, but I would consider it bad taste to wear a Green Beret and SF unit patches if they were not earned. I know quite a few Green Berets who would not approve Edited August 20, 2007 by 79TransAm

How many SF guys have you talked to who have endorsed your wearing of the beret and patches? You must not forget that the SF community could very well be their own milltary branch. Also it was the US Army who decided to slap the Rangers and the face and issue black berets to the entire regular Army. Im not trying to lecture you and i hope this is comming across as respectful

We have prior 5th, 19th SFG who advise the B.o.e SF Team . And we have operations in the near future where we will deploy against active ODA's so I hope that helps your understanding of your questions. 100% of the flashes and tabs currently worn by B.o.E are custom made and not affiliated with the US ARMY. we B.o.E are here in no way shape or form to usurp the hard efforts of the SF or any individual serving the USA with Honor , we have been given special go ahead to use these items. Due to that respect that we instill in all of our men the US ARMY has given B.o.E SF special permission to wear the uniforms " ACU Woodland Tri color" and yes SF guys have approved . Thanks for sticking up for those who have served Hooah ! Capt
iBAWLS
This is the first time I am seeing this thread, and it is a good read. My airsoft started in Utah. I started Playing with Kelly and Major down in Utah County 5 years ago, back when I was going to school there. It is great to see pictures of those great fields again. Back then hardly anybody knew what Airsoft was in Utah. and it just grew and grew. It is really great to see it at this level. I will definately keep in touch with this thread. Â Thanks Rad. Â By the way is that gun ship out in West Jordan. If so my sister lives about 2 klicks from there, it was always cool watching those birds fly around, they are scary quiet. B.o.E SF Shifty
Hey this is my first post ever! i heard about this thread and had to stop by and say hello to everyone and as Captain Rad says thanks for all the kind words.  i have witnessed personally much apprehension about our wearing of the green beret and sf tabs. that apprehension has never come from a real life green beret. and yes we have many active and retired military on the team, but we also have experienced a vote of confidence and encouragement from the US ARMY. we have slated days to train as OPfor with SF groups. you see, in our way we have much to offer to the US Military, who in turn is an awesome sponsor and supporter.  it is official knowledge that should we choose to, we can wear US ARMY name tapes as well as tabs, rank, flashes, AND the green beret.  However, we also respectfully decline some of these privileges for 2 reasons  1. we are proud to be Black Ops Elite. our team pride rivals that of a real military unit. we have gone through our own sacrifices, challenges, wins and losses in shaping this team to be what it was meant to become. Captain Rads sacrifices for this team alone would astound you. we are a band of brothers, and we aren't done yet. merely getting started.  2. we have a profound respect for the real world forces we choose to emulate. we continue to wear the green beret as the cornerstone symbol, because we feel by emulating those soldiers we show a respect to the sacrifices they make that may go unrecognized. it promotes awareness of this, and gratitude for it. in our own small way we feel like we have experienced just a tiny bit of what it means to believe in what they believe in.  we are not 5th group, we are not 19th, but we are the "green berets" in airsoft and wouldn't wear them if we felt we dishonored the real green berets in any way. so we have adopted our own combat patch, flash, and nametapes.  what the green beret symbolizes in the real world is still symbolized in airsoft. FREEDOM.   so you are welcome to continue to disagree, it doesn't matter to us. we know the respect we hold for the beret and wont minimize it by petty bickering with naysayers.  thanks for letting me speak my piece.  Now everyone go out and enjoy some of the freedom that the green berets continue to purchase for you.  -SFC. Radrockin
Howdy Arnies, Its been a week or two since we last updated you with our Operations ...... Â Operation: Desert Strike was a complete success . Two A-10 Warthogs were in the middle of a fire fight when one of the A10's suffered Major damage and the Pilot (Maj. Beck) had to Bail and he found himself in the middle of nowhere ( Afghanistan) and all he had to survive with was his SERE pack and a Pistol with one Magazine of ammo . He was being headhunted by Al-Qaeda (yours truly & Co.) and unbeknown to us(Badguys) was the Fact that a Highly skilled SF team had been deployed into the wasteland to S&R for Maj Beck. After a ferociously battle with the SF teams Maj.Beck was recovered and the SF team E&E back to their FOB Cobra . The Bad guys were killed but not with out taking out some highly priced SF troops ! Â Beck had to be hauled out of the Area By stretcher and you will notice the burned up environment due to heavy Napalm and Air strikes to the region . The trees are Black the ground was cooked and we had a great day of WAR GAMES in the Utah Desert! Â Combatsim at its best with B.o.E SF & US ARMY ! and now time for some Pic Intel !
