SlvrDragon50
Hey! i lost all my hop up nubs and I REALLy dont want to buy a bucking.. Is there a way to make something to act as a nub?
ronburgundy__
yes. cut the end off a bic ball point pen and use that.
syxjesters
Well all it is is this little rubber tube thingy. If you go to Osh or Home Depot they might have the exact tubing you need, you'll just need to cut 1cm or a very small amount. Or, if you cut more tubing, you can have an unlimited amount of nubbies for life! Woo! Now, do YOU have ANY idea about this: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/inde...showtopic=77104 ??? Read the very last post, please. What do I do with this ring? I've had my gun open and just sitting here for about two hours, and i'd like to get this barrel in.
Dusk
Take the tubing from the bic pen (where the ink is) and cut it to length. A bit stiff but it works.
syxjesters
Dusk, do you have any idea on what the little ring does? I'm not sure why everybody is just ignoring my posts...
poorieuser
The grip of a pen works to an extent. Thats how they modified the hop ups in early BV Unit guns...
SlvrDragon50
uhh wait.. so do you mean the part from when you take the pen apart and the ink tube? and the ring. isnt that just to stabilize the barrel or something.. Ill need a picture
syxjesters
Yeah it's to stabilize it, but it won't fit on the new barrel. I don't think it'll wiggle since this barrel seems to be a bit larger. For the nub: he means if you take the pen apart the thing that holds the ink. There will be a white or gel stopper where the ink will stop, cut from above that to about the size of your nub and that should work, albeit being a bit stiff.
SlvrDragon50
Ah ok.. thanks! +1 to all of you
ronburgundy__
The ink tube. The end of it where there is no ink, just cut it to size.
Dusk
The ring stableizes the inner barrel into the hopup.. Just jam it on there, you need it.
syxjesters
Oh noes, i've just put the whole thing together without the ring T.T. Are you sure I need it? I was trying to jam it on there for quite some time and it wouldn't go on... I don't want to scratch up or bend/warp the barrel by pushing that ring on it too hard.
poorieuser
http://fpszine.com/downloads/2002_Dec_A_GasGuns.pdf Checl that out. On the second page it tells you what I was talking about. Not sure if its exactly what you need but it could help.
SlvrDragon50
Okay.. I got it but my hop up still misfeeds.. I wanna narrow down the problem so.. Would a bad hop up cause this: Quadruple feed Not firing every time
ronburgundy__
Yes, it would. Tell us your setup.

No Mercy
either you Hop up Bucking is not sitting correctly or the custom nub is to strong What most people do is use a piece of stripped insulation from a peice of wiring Nm
ronburgundy__
I assume you have tried it in all different modes of hop?
Dusk
Did it just recently start after you modded the hopup?
SlvrDragon50
It started as soon as I put the gun back together.
