charliethegreat
Looking at firefight reading or ground zero for tomorrow (sunday) - but the weather is saying rain. Do most sites cancel or does it usually continue? Thanks C
Shard
Rain never stopped any games at GZ I have attended. I doubt FF Reading would cancel either. Its only a bit of rain
charliethegreat
would most players still pitch up?
Ubar
yes
Shard
If by pitch up you mean turn out, then yeah. GZ has pretty regular 100 player days for walkons, so even with bad weather it will still likely have a fair few players in attendance
charliethegreat
is there any risk with aeg's and water getting into the internals?
Ubar
no
Carrion
not unless its a top m60 they rust. wet games are more fun
Azulsky
We have played in the rain countless times, if you are really worried then take a plastic grocery bag and put it over the stock of your gun to cover the coupling area(if you have a batt there), other wise you could take precautions to cover the area where the battery is, but like i said we ahve done nothing many times and nothing has happened. charliethegreat
ok - so the only vital points to watch out for is the battery cover in the stock
Carrion
ive totaly imersed my gun several times and no worries bar a good barrel cleaning hell at the june GZ weekender i felt like i was a drowned rat
Azulsky
yeah if thats where your battery is then that would be where i would worry about. There is so much going on between the outside of the gun and the internal connectors in the gearbox that i dont think its possible via normal rain to get that wet.
DrunkDwarf
If a bit of rain halted play in the UK... then Airsoft would die out faster than the VCR Bill would ever do.
