Updated my gun..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v102/Sparky2129/2-1.jpg

Got rid of that SRC stuff, in fact the entire gun has a new base.

Base Gun:

Classic Army M15 Carbine

Externals:

-Hurricane Blank Metal Body

-G&P M4 CQBR Front Set (Carbine Version)

-Knights Armament Vertical Foregrip

-Tokyo Marui Rear Sight

-VFC AN/PEQ2 with 9.6v 2000 MAH battery

-EOTech 552 in LaRue EOTech Mount

-LaRue Battlelight

-VLTor Modstock with Butterfly Latch

-VFC Battlegrip Replica

-Guarder "Enhanced" Stock Pipe

-G&P Rear Sling Mount Plate

Internals:

-G&P Reinforced Gearbox

-M120

-KM TN Tightbore

-Systema Red Polycarbonate Piston

-Systema Pistonhead with bearing

-Hummer Torque motor

-Big-Out H-Hop

Yeah! The CQBR front set is rock solid, innit? My lack of experience made me wonder why the front sight wouldn't sit still until I found that little grub screw underneath and tightened it with the appropriate allen wrench.

Do you mind having a flip-up behind the regular front sight? I was going to use a sawed off A2 carry handle to match the front with an Aimpoint in the middle.

Right so Im all done with the painting, and Im very happy with the results!

A couple of pics with some gear:

And one of the gun on its own:

I think Im just about done with the gun - the only change I really want now, is a 10.5in barrel, but for now its time for some new gear!

I've been meaning to do it for a while, and last night I got off my lazy *albartroth* and made myself a partiot type thingumy. After a bit of chopping and gluing, we have the finished product...

M4patriot.jpg

Technically, though, It's a REALLY chopped-down M16 VN version with a mangled carry handle.

Best of all is how i store the battery in this wee thing - I don't! It's based on a KAC springer, and has been, eh, tweaked a bit. It's of a rather nice internal design that takes AEG sized springs, so i frankenstined a TM piston head onto it, to give it pretty much perfect compression, and added some AEG spring I had lying around - a 1J one, I think. No hop-up, though, but this is just for humiliation kills, so i don't care :D

With the tweaking, I'd hazard a guess at it firing at around 260fps with a 0.2g BB - without a chrono, though, I relay don't know!

Can't wait to skirmish with this little beast! :D

On a more serious note than my last post, here's my AIM M4 - It's going to be the only AEG I own soon ;_;

But, yeah, here she is. nice and clean at the moment, nothing added externally.

AIMM4.jpg

It's not stock though, Oh no, far from it. This girl's had pretty much everything upgraded, and the rest is gona be done son. Not a drop of original will be left :D

Internaly, We've had:

Madbull Shark hop bucking

Element Steel gear set (apart from bevel gear)

Area 1000 oilless bushings

Re-shimmed

Systema Magnum Motor

CA Wiring loom for M4

External upgrades:

Metal Outer barrel (Unknown brand - looks to be in two bits...)

TM front sight and flash hider

CA (I think) Stock Tube and stock

TM Tracer unit (not shown)

Got a few more bits coming for it, too. En route from HK we have:

G&P Delta ring set (stock delta spring is WEAK!)

King arms ARM type mag catch (Ambidextrous thing)

G&P Polyacetal Piston

Deep fire piston head

Box of MAG Midcaps

And, on my to buy list, when I can afford them (Or, as soon as possible :D):

G&P Fire Pig Metal Body

2ROy M203

Three-pack of madbull 'nades

At the moment, I'm quite happy with it. I've taken a single tooth off the sector gear, and plan to swiss cheese this piston for more ROF, but at the moment it gives about 16rps on an 8.v and a squeak under 20rps on a 9.6, which I'm pleased with. I think the FPS is somewhere in the region of 300 with a 0.2, mainly because of the sector gear. Probably going to take another tooth off and add a stiffer spring, but I may leave it alone.

metal body is a necessity, as the stock one has only one intact tab left. That includes the front tabs! They're currently held together with superglue and praying.

Any suggestions of anything more that I could do to it?

low profile, On its way, but there isnt one in there now

and

Mdk, Dont swiss cheese the G&P polycal Piston, It will snap in half.

yesterday, i saw a regular one snapped from the 4th tooth back

The magnum motor should be enough and with the 9.6v you should be getting more than 20 rps if your on a stock spring , your shimming is tight
