CACQB006.jpg

Right now basic CA M15 CQB, with G&P Scorpion M500 light(500 lumens of fun), Star D-LAP laser (features laser and white LED), TM SOCOM Suppressor, G&P Aimpoint, TM Standard Mags w/Ranger Mag-Pul, and 4200mah 9.6v battery.

So far internally it is stock but will feature a tightbore barrel, different piston and finally spring getting it around alot higher than forum limts.

Externally I still need to get different aimpoint mount, tactical charging handle and install my ambi-mag release. Still need to get cover for the light, so I don't have to replace another lense. And finally figure out what sort of sling is going on it.

I really want to paint it but not sure I will be able to bring my self to do it.

Very nice...looks a bit front heavy, though.

Edit: Oh, also, do you think you'd ever find yourself mounting something to the rail on that D-LAP? I could never understand why they put a rail on a laser unit...

You move the D-Lap back and mount a aiming device on it. Have seen the Japanese riot police do it as there is not alot of room on the MP5-J for attaching kit.

Oh, whoops...I got confused there. I was referring the the latest acquisition thread...my bad. (As in I thought this was that...you know what I mean.)

I'll post it here...maybe my fellow ArmaPeople can help me out...

"Oh, also, about that mount...it says it can be used on an A1 on one side and on an A2 on the other...I'm guessing I'd use the A2 side when mounting to a M4?"

It's a bit hard to explain...I'm referring to that "I" shaped piece. One side is for A2, the other is for A1.

I tried mounting the Aimpoint this way and it was wayto high. As it stands right now I am not happy with D-Laps stock height. I can just barely see the top of the foward sight. I had thought about taking the rail off the top but it doesn't look as good with the rail off. I might look into another mounting option for the laser itself.

It is a bit front heavy but with big cells in the stock its not to unbalanced. There is more hanging off this gun than any other I own though. Most the time its just a grip and aimpoint.

Is that the PDI kit that has the hole pretapped for RIS rails?? If so maybe you could do a bottom rail and then one of those rail to rail connectors.

If it does not have the pre tapped holes it should not be too hard to get some in there to attach the rail. :)

EDIT *****

BTW i love the project. I bet it will be a fun gun to play with.
