tomster
I think that's a Diemaco rear sight.
Fuser
One of my earlier AR projects, soon to be on it's way to the new owner, our own dr. glocktavius... image Larger version here. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's the first time I've seen the 416 short stock really work on a gun...it looks superb. Then again it might just be the photo Seriously good work.
thomasw
Hey Vic, that m203 mount looks very wild, the rear part of the mount doesn't look like it even goes up into the RIS. Never seen anything remotely like that.
Tommygunn
It's a standard Diemaco M203A1 that attaches to the barrel, as per the norm. The only difference from a U.S. made launcher is the height of the barrel axis and the bracket that extends from the front 'Knight's' barrel mount to the front sight which, as mentioned, is most likely a Diemaco tangent sight for the launcher. Slash'
LORD SEX... very nice gun - reminds me of America's army (the game - it's a pile of ###### but its free). Would look nicer with the ACOG a bit further forward.
mrblah
LORD SEX... very nice gun - reminds me of America's army (the game - it's a pile of ###### but its free). Would look nicer with the ACOG a bit further forward. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Moving the acog forward would render it almost unusable considering that acog is not a reddot
Slash'
Doesn't change the fact that it looks wrong .
MERCILESSPIT
Doesn't change the fact that it looks wrong . <{POST_SNAPBACK}> .... nope, looks right. I'd agree if you were talking about an RD or a reflex, but definitely not an ACOG. If it were farther forward, it would look wrong. You have to consider eye-relief when talking about a magnifying scope's placement.
Slash'
Of course.... of course. But, I am talking out of my own opinion and, however impractical, the way that ACOG placement could be perceived, by me, as "right" looking, it would be mounted further forward. That is to say, purely in the pursuit of looks for the photo, it would please me far more to see the ACOG further forward.
thomasw
I love it just where it is, considering it is a magnifying scope and has iron sights on top. For red dots I prefer them up a little more though. If I had an ACOG, I think I would have to buy both the red dot model and the magnifying model, just because they both rock. BARsrule2
I would like it sooooo much better if the ACOG was 5.9 mm farther back, and the thumb screws slightly less tightened. But that's just me. Jesus Christ, people.
Brakoo
That's just me but personally I like my ACOG to be mounted a bit forward. Here's how I have it on my setup : Posted this pic before but what the hell, it's nice !
thomasw
What is the m203 sight you have up top, and where did you get it from? Thanks.
Arghoslent93
G&G (or it might be G&P) do an M203 RIS leaf sight for about £35, you should be able to find someone who sells them in the US

Way to be unique! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks dude, I got rid of it though because I needed a metal body and new gearbox, and that woulda costed me too much. Gonna try and make the same thing again though with an ICS M4.
