dhindo
Just did some work on my gun yesterday....replaced the piston, fixed the selector issue, and rewired her to the rear. Now all I need to do is re-lengthen both the red and black wires so that they are equal in length add a fuse into the wiring harness, and get a magazine pouch for my stock to house the battery in....and she will be nearly done . Did you see the thread I made for this mod?Just so theres no wires visible... Edited February 19, 2007 by dhindo
T.P.Evan
Did you see the thread I made for this mod?Just so theres no wires visible... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes I have, but I'm going the same route as my entire team . I'm not too worried about the wires being visible at all...
Souske
I was toying around with the lighting and got this effect... (I'm still learning) Some people above mentioned mismatched receivers. I did something similar like that last summer. It was kinda strange.....so I changed it. It did have the impromptu special forces "I had to switch the upper receiver because it was worn out" feel to it. Edited February 19, 2007 by Souske

Bilvo
I must say the mismatched look is growing on me... I might do one after the SCAR...
T.P.Evan
And then you need to get a crane stock <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Uhh, no. I have always liked the look and feel of having a pouch mounted battery on the stock . The standard stock will do for me.
CapaciousZepher
I've got that mismatched look going on my M933. I'm happy with it. I think the camo on the rail covers and silencer ties it together somewhat. Just waiting on my G&P aimpoint now. Oh, I also like the feel and look of the standard stock as well. I may eventually change it for a modstock but I'm happy with the standard. Cheers! - CapaciousZepher Edited February 19, 2007 by CapaciousZepher

CapaciousZepher
Thanks Bilvo. The mag is a midcap that I got second hand. Might be a G&P. Cheers! - CapaciousZepher

ezgil
Awaiting a Proud VLTOR flash hider (to get rid of that hideous orange one I have on because the only other hiders I have are for G36s...) and Magpul MIAD grip (Have a G27 on the way but I think Ima sell it for the MIAD) Sad part is when I got the plain stock TM M4 I promised myself I wouldn't spend any money on it for a good while.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> excuse quoting of the picture, but does that CASV look crooked to anyone else? it's occurring in both photos so i don't know if it's the camera's doing or not. also the delta ring is crooked in there too. other than that, that ctr stock looks the sex

The delta ring does look a little slanted though.

GuzziHero
Well, until someone makes a proper M16 LMG fore-end available, this will have to do me... 24" barrel, 590mm inner barrel. And I need to get that barrel extension scratched up to match the rest of it. Gaming on Sunday, I was looking all over the place for rusty railings to scrape it along and knock it on to weather it The small addition of the extra barrel and the extra weight of the RIS bipod adapter sure makes it unwieldy, but thats sorta what Im looking for...an LMG isnt supposed to be light and agile. And the Prometheus 6.03 tightbore seems to make a huge addition to short/medium range accuracy. I know barrel length is not supposed to make a lot of difference over about 300mm, but I sure could see an improvement over the 509mm 6.04. Even with hop totally off, it was firing straight and level for a long way (I wont even attempt to gauge distance), even further than my M15a4 SEALS is consistent at with hop set. Please dont laugh too much ...and if you do, tell me why
mremerica
Looking good Guzzi. My own personal comment would be if its meant to be a LMG, then how about loosing the carry handle and mounted scope, and maybe an Elcan / ACOG on top of it. That would be more fitting, rather than a long scope on a carry handle, making it look more DMRish (to me anyway).
GuzziHero
True. I was planning to DMR, but its too unwieldy! Itll be more support in the sense that an L86 is. I just bought an Aimpoint replica. Methinx that would be more suitable for such a role Thanks for the constructive comments!
mremerica
Aimpoint could work well, what kind of mount were you thinking of using with it?
GuzziHero
Aimpoint could work well, what kind of mount were you thinking of using with it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Its an A2 so Im a bit stuck with a carry-handle mount RIS, with the L-mount that came with it. Its a G&P, identical to this: http://www.airsoftscotland.com/acatalog/GP_Aimpoint.jpg . I wouldnt want it mounted too high for airsoft. Actually, having seen this : http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b281/Zha...2dmclear0gd.gif , maybe a DMR is possible. I have a Delta cheekpiece (that I need to repair!) and a Colt 4x20 carry-handle mount scope...just that my barrel is longer (there are companies who make 24" for real steel rifles). Or, I could always change between roles depending on situation/site
