El Ornitorrinco
I LOVE YOU. Tee hee. You said "par-tick-oo-ler." There were big booms, a jeep with a loud gun and lots of airsofting. That APC was kinda wierd... Because they weren't in Irene. And the red Jeep substituing for two dozen Humvees was... interesting.
AngusSkie
heh, that first vedio I thought I reconized a frend of mine. And found out that was her.
El Ornitorrinco
I vote that airsoft guns start using that compressed air stuff. I would pay big bucks for an airsoft gun that went "boom!"
Hillslam
Nice footage Hanzo. But I have a question: weren't we supposed to give helmet cam footage to Dave Craig before releasing it public? I've got a pile of footage I'm sitting on from my helmet cam, aka the SAW gunner's POV. Delta team, Strikers squad. Soon as I send it off to Craig and hear back from him I'll edit and post some up. I think I got you guys on there a few times as our squads mixed.
sgtHanzo
Weren't we supposed to give helmet cam footage to Dave Craig before releasing it public? I've got a pile of footage from my helmet cam, aka the SAW gunner's pov. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dave Craig and John Lu both have links to my originals. John Lu had also given his O.K. (after a couple of days wait) via email for the release above. BTW, check the OPI:IV portal for instructions on how to send your clips to Dave Craig. Your footages may contain stuff that can be included in the DVD. Hanzo, out.
Hillslam
Yeah - I have several gigs of footage so I'm burning a DVD for him to fit it all on. Even editted down, lol. Like I said, I *think* I caught you guys on tape a couple times, but Strikers were running pretty much the entire weekend so in my dazed and confused state (much like everyday life) I may be wrong. I know I caught you at the FOB while we all waited around forever, lol. Go Deltas! EDIT: BTW I rated all your vids 5stars. Good stuff.
USNDOC
Haven't watched em yet, but I'm sure they're good, because I WAS THERE TOO! oo-rah charlie!
AustinWolv
Ooorah Delta. Had a blast, and saw some of you helmet cam types milling around. Hillslam.....your guys provided a smile early on Saturday.....a Striker squad comes through hotel, stacks to head out towards firehouse, we try to point out all the Charlie in positions out there, y'all run out there anyway, and y'all get mowed down. {shrug} Oh well, on to the next objective. Hillslam
Yeah I got that on film - we all bought it on the wall just outside. We were moving the whole weekend and got alot done. And dieing alot to boot, lol. I lost count of the number of times I respawned. But we had a ton of fun. I almost feel sorry for the Charlie guys (and some Deltas) I've talked to that got stuck squatting in a building nobody assaulted all day. Or let their momentum run out. We, Strikers that is, and Delta too for the most part, definitely got our money's worth of combat by staying in it, odds be damned. I look at some of that other footage and it almost looks like a different event altogether. For us it was nonstop all weekend. I'm still recovering...
AustinWolv
Hehe, that was one of the things I enjoyed greatly......we were being tasked to do different things quite a bit, although we were tasked with holding the hotel in the 1st scenario, but after that, all over the place. And it was fun because the action wasn't a dumpfest the entire time. I'm glad I worked on getting in shape prior to going.....I was ready for more, seemed like the hours went be so quickly.
