DirtyMoFo
So its a balaclava(sp) you think? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> maybe a beret? i dont know what colour JGSDF berets are but a red balaclava seems a bit.. over the top..
sekiryu
JGSDF berets are greenish--and rarely worn from what I can tell.
sekiryu
argh 2 and a half days and the guy still hasn't gotten back to me on the Type 88 helmet... Same thing happened twice before. They said "sure we can ship it overseas; just give us your address". Address sent.....no reply.
arivee
One lead you might want to follow: The Seller on this yahoo japan auction is K.Y - Military, they have contact e-mail numbers and all. Although they dont ship internationally on the auction, they might (well we can hope cant we ) if you contacted them directly.
sekiryu
Meh. The Japanese BDUs he has are the blatant replica kind. The real BDUs have only two pockets on the jacket, both on the breast. His have 4.

Jagdraben
Bit of a necropost and in the wrong topic, but I cannot seem to find the right one. Basically, I recall there being an argument about SiG Sauer P220s versus P226s. Well, my new 1911 is as big around as my P226. And the Japanese used the M1911A1 for nearly half a century so, dare I say it, the problem with the P226 isn't that it's too large for Japanese hands. Unless, of course, the Japanese have shrunk. sekiryu
I'm hitting the jackpot here. I found a nice site with MOLLE JGSDF gear: http://www.lem-shop.com/ Try to ignore the $900 vest. The rest are reasonably priced. The manager says he can ship to America depending upon the item. Not sure if it will work as well as Triarks, but I'll see what can be done. *fruitcage* A.....Military and LE only....WTF?!
Jagdraben
The prices are reasonable... if they're actually made by Paraclete/Eagle/&c. EDIT: Lawl. Irony. ... Sorry.
sekiryu
infantry.co.jp has some MOLLE stuff to, but the color seems abit off, and no confirmation on overseas orders >.<
Maple-Leaf
Just curious--has anyone here ordered anything from Triarks? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I sent them an email order about 2 months ago, and have never heard anything from them.
Jagdraben
D: And with the Type 89f, I was hoping to pick up some kit for it. Oh, well. I guess that the Foreign Volunteer Group will stick with MultiCam.
Jagdraben
OK, whatpriceglory won't do M1916 holsters with Sakura on them. But El Paso Saddlery might (they sell them in standard versions as being blank, US, USN, or USMC). Link.
sekiryu
I sent them an email order about 2 months ago, and have never heard anything from them. Odd, he's answered all my emails. Though my last one was back in Feb.
Jagdraben
Have you been using English or Japanese when you're conversing with him, seki?
sekiryu
English in my last one.
Jagdraben
What did you tell him? It might be possible that he's biased against non-Japanese (or possibly just people who make no attempt to communicate in Japanese, or maybe Maple-Leaf and the UK are too far to ship and he figured that ignoring Maple would be more polite than telling him that he can't/won't... but that theory doesn't make sense given that he has shipping rates listed for selling to folk in Europe). sekiryu
I'm non-Japanese . Anyway, I had noticed the items marked "Pick-up", and asked him, in English, if those were also available overseas. Thank you for your Email, Sir. Yes, you can buy the "pick up" items from overseas. When you buy, let me know the name of item, how to pay, your adress and your name. Thank you. Triarks: Toshihiro Tamura I use a Yahoo Japan email account to contact him though......maybe that's it.
