Pants of Death
Yes, this I know, but the lower quality metal has made them quite a bit easier to break than a Marui.

sgtsampay
Well, yeah, if you put a lot of pressure on it or play rough with it, other than that, it should last a while...
Pants of Death
Yes. Yes I do. I'm quite often diving and banging my *beep* around. That's why I say the metal is inferior.
newbkiller
woo-hoo! I just ordered this metal body from redwolf along with a new wire set for my other ak, king arms selector plate, and a systema genuine short motor from redwolf. Â
Jagdraben
Isn't it supposed to come with a foregrip, too?
newbkiller
nope. that's the full kit and costs around $190. this is just the body, pistol grip, stock, sling mount, and upper for $80. plus, I don't like the railed forgrip very much and wouldn't use it.

evansy
Any tips on making my wood look weathered? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Use it. I cant stand it when people just take sandpaper to their AKs to make them look used and abused straight out of the box. It looks a thousand times better if its genuine wear. Shroomalistic
if yu are gonna weather it, use some greasy steel wool and polish the gun with it. its will wear it down and make it look more natural then sand paper.

sgtsampay
I redid my AK's wear job after I repainted it completely in Krylon Black ultra flat. Now the gastube/barrel/ front sight match my reciver. Other pics upon request.  <{POST_SNAPBACK}>   I would love to have my Ak look like this one. Any tips?  Yes. Yes I do. I'm quite often diving and banging my *beep* around. That's why I say the metal is inferior. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I understand now. I bet that you can find a nice full metal stock for you that won't break...You can always, use a real steel one, i think... Edited April 30, 2007 by sgtsampay
Pants of Death
I'm intending on putting a side-folder on the PMC AK that I've posted pics of.
The Crunchy Bunny
sgtsampay, I did that by sanding the metal parts with a 400 grain sandpaper lightly. But before that I primed and resprayed the entire gun Flat black. Then, use a dry brushing technique where you take any old relativly fine point brush and barly dip it in a little cup of silver hobby paint. Then make little streaks over parts like the trunnion, reciver, stock parts etc. Remeber: Don't use to much paint and the stiffer the brush the better.

The Crunchy Bunny
Color the wood with a sharpie and wipe it off with a aceatone soaked rag. Also, beat it with a hammer and stuff to .

Donut
Or just drag it across your lawn and driveway... (I'll do that as soon as my AK is complete) Props for doing it, but I've never been a fan of sanding and painting the gun for the worn look, might as well as just throw it around if you want to put that much effort into it, and and it's much cheaper too
Skarclaw
Never seen a good looking beaten up AK which wasn't natural, just use it.
