mightyjebus
how about this? i'd love it if it was silver (not gold) and had custom ebony furnature <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Skarclaw
Whats wrong with the Inokatsu one? Same thing but cheaper and that goes down like RS <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Inokatsu is the same as gaurder only it comes with the inner barrel and hopup. To strip my ino I need to fiddle with grub screws, I doubt the real rifle takes down like that.
Shroomalistic
i was explaining to him last night on xfire that the original guarder ones werent made exactly like the real steel. the part of the gas tube that goes into the front trunions are a little long and it prevents it from releasing thegas tube all the way. at least thats how it os on my aims. the lever on the rear sight bock lifts up all the way but the part of the tube that goes into there is just a little too long to be able to release it all the way. my_plague_666
not a big fan of that, a silver and ebony AKS74U or pretty much any other full length AK would be nice though
dookieboy
Well yeah I wanted to know cause its not like I can pull money out my *albatross* so I want it to be as close to RS as possible but thanks Shroom! So a RS one would fir it then and make it work I presume? Looks like il be getting one hopefully!
Yeager
... Field strip of a real AK as per described in my RPK's manuel. 1. Set gun to safe & check chamber 2. Remove top cover 3. Remove recoil spring guide 4. Remove Bolt 5. Remove gas tube by pulling up on locking lever "Further disassembly is discouraged" I can do all of the above with my Guarder AKM, so I don't see how it's unrealistic. : /

aap
mightyjebus, I really like that silver AK. It looks reliable to me, like a tool in the shed that you've been using for years and will continue to use. thegunrunner, that's an excellent photo, but I think that the wood grips should be somewhat more subdued. They shine a little much for my tastes.

Alakdan101
errrr...damned hibernation... back to the blue tape... why is it the russian use color Blue instead black... Edited October 13, 2007 by Alakdan101
counterassasin
I think the most obvious reason they use blue tape, is that it is a part of their field repair kit. (Or so I think, was some debate on this on the Red Alliance a while back)
Gir
A work in process. Lookin' fly on the field, is the most rewarding part of airsoft. This tops all game. Edited October 13, 2007 by Gir

Fin
As we can discus things in the AK thread and not get flamed to all concerned my Dboys/kalash AKSU was crowned today and clocked in at.....390 fps!!! This was annoying but i after i put my VFC gearbox in it (which has gone down to 270 (wtf!)) the gun was a joy to use....YAY CHINA! However the battery was probably a reason for the first result of a low of 320 and a high of 390 and a ###### rate of fire, after putting a G&P battery i got a constant of
Skarclaw
Not quite sure how the battery could affect the velocity.
Alakdan101
Not quite sure how the battery could affect the velocity. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the faster the motor/gears pull the piston...more air...more fps...maybe... to fin:my cyma AKS74U chrono at stock 380fps... supportgunner
Is there any reason I couldn't put an AIMS vertical foregrip on my 74?
medic23
different length than a regular 47 maybe

DarkLite
Not me, but a friend with the CYMA AKs74u I built him: ELCAN makes everything sexy. Black AKs and MC suprisingly nice. Apparently he actually used the ICS AK74m as a backup to the CYMA, cos the AKs74u is much handier in tight spaces, of which the field was abundant.
Jaager
i would lose the M145, Elcans are kool but it doesnt look right on an AK, most non russian scopes dont look right on AK's... Edited October 14, 2007 by Jaager
