King Arms fN FAL

Sorry for the kind of change in subject, but is the carry handle durable on the long version of the FAL? Will it break off etc.

Well, I just stood here and shook mine by the handle pretty hard, and its still fine. It's made from a pretty beefy piece of metal.

Edit: The carry handle is steel. Just magnet tested it.

Ah finally, with the L1A1 we can convert it to the Canadian C1!

Now if only someone would make the walnut stock and forearm it would be perfect.

Can anyone take a pic of how the stock attaches to the King Arms version? Maybe we can adapt a real stock (they are only $85 Cdn each).

---

Does anyone know if the L1A1 will be an entire AEG or a conversion kit?

Does anyone know what the internals are like (for the current FAL that is out)? All I know is that it is a reinforced gearbox and has a high-torque motor but that's it. Pictures would be nice too, but just a short description is enough. If anyone could help me I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Last question, when I have compared the long version and carbine version, it looks like the retailers say the long version has a lower FPS but the shorter version has a higher FPS, yet in reviews, people have said their long version are 330 FPS. What's going on here? Is the long version 270-290 FPS or is it 310-330 FPS? I'm really confused here.

Well my gun is still in the process of being upgraded (can't get the bloody thing back together).

I sent an e-mail to KA a while back about the hi caps, and they said they had no release date on them, but perhaps February - it's now February and no news :( Anyone else e-mail them?

I'm buying a scope mount this week and this scope next week (or the week after, depending on when I get money):

I've got a Guarder 110 in it, but I haven't been able to test it yet (gun is literally in pieces right now).

Once I've got the gun together I'm thinking about epoxying the stock shut to try and fix some of the wobble.

Will post more in the future.

Mine arrived yesterday and I have to say I'm impressed.

I'm lucky as mine feels solid with nowobble or cracks although I can see the weak point where the stock meets reciever and there is a large seem.

The gun has a nice sound when fired and is very positive.

I will try and write up a full reiew when I'm not half asleep

ahh yes that is something else.........

I'm a big 9.6v fan due to liking snappy single shots and liking a good quick reaction of the gearbox for 3 rnd bursts.

When testing my FAL I used a 8.4v 4300mah pack and found the ROF to be as high as most guns would fire on 9.6v if not a little more

Just sent KA an inquisitive e-mail:

Evening,

I was just looking through my inbox and found this e-mail again.

It is now more than a month later since I last e-mailed you.  Is there

any update on the high capacity magazines for the FAL series?

You've released information about new FAL variants - such as the L1A1

and para versions - but you've yet to release even a single word about

the most important accessory to the AEG, the magazine.  You've even

released the rail kit, which is completely useless without a good

sized magazine.  The FAL is a really great AEG, however it's being

held back by the magazine capacity.  I believe it was quite foolish to

release an AEG without any way to reliably load it.  I urge you to put

forth more effort into this simple item.  If you were to release them

next week, they would sell very quickly - I know for a fact that I'm

planning to buy two or three as soon as they come out.  However,

people are reselling their FALs because of the simple fact that they

can only buy 89 round magazines, which are not very convenient for

skirmish use - I know two or three people personally who sold their

FAL for this very reason.

Please divulge some sort of concrete evidence that you guys have not

completely forgotten about the single most important accessory to an

AEG.

Many thanks for your time,

-Josh K

Will post reply when I get it (I'm wagering one to two weeks time).
