TerranCmdr
Very slick indeed. Sucks about the calipers, but it looks like they still work!

Candyman
managed to snap a drill off yesterday, my fault not enough wd40 to lube it. When drilling deep into ally becareful the metal doesnt clog the drill bit, it'll heat up then grip the ally and can break.

Candyman
Are you machining all of this with a drill press? no no, after the last project I bought a little mill, im still learning but its making it a lot easier. The way im hollowing out these pieces you can only do with a mill.
RPK
no no, after the last project I bought a little mill, im still learning but its making it a lot easier. The way im hollowing out these pieces you can only do with a mill. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You might want to get an endmill holder or a collet set. Using a drill chuck when milling is a huge no-no. Using a drill chuck when milling is a huge no-no. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> it came on the mill, its only a little one, what they call a micro mill. Seems pretty good so far. Candyman
cutting the hole for the trigger to poke through. Space is a bit tight inside so i have to sink the m700 frame into the base. Found some nice tube for the barrel, well i didnt some nice chap on ebay did. Got me this stuff, 25mm across with a 5mm wall, an odd size (apparently) cost me £30 for a meter with postage! hope i dont fudge it up.

Tank
Very nice. For the last couple of years I've been trying to convince my boss to buy a small mill & lathe so I can build custom stuff. He's not going for it though. It's probably for the best, if he did buy them I'd never get any other work done.
