TheFrag
I'm actually looking at possibly getting (don't laugh) urban cammo BDU's. I think they look damn tight, and the fact that they are shades of grey mainly means they should work very fairly in woodland, desert, and night time scenarios (all of which I play in). I was just wondering if any US forces actually use this, or is this mainly a "fashion" cammo? What about the second cammo that appears on this page? http://www.hdesert.com/cgi-bin/hdesert/sto...ywords=&next=10 P.s.- the urban cammo I am talking about is the last pattern on that page. Thanks. PlasticMag
I have a full set or URBAN MARPAT (yes, the rare stuff) that I have locked in my attic so that one day when no other copies exist mine will be worth s..tloads of money. I also keep a full set of woodland MARPAT that I don't wear but it's very high quality. Both sets were purchased at the local Marine Exchange about two years ago. Great gear (or as the British among us here say - kit). I, of course, wear FLORA.

cruxed
It is located in the US, as they spell 'colour' as 'color'. Lol, good way of finding out whether it's the US or the UK!!
xRAZERx
I, of course, wear FLORA. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> FLORA? I can't believe it's not MARPAT
PlasticMag
MARPAT is good, but I've taken a shine to FLORA more, especially since ALL of my gear (except the boots) is currently Eastern-manufactured. Sadly, I don't have a pic of MY set of urban MARPAT, but here's an example of what I DON'Y have: http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/imcct3na.html Mine isn't actually MARPAT, now that I think about it. It's the T-Pattern, and I doubt it was even supposed to be at the MRX, but I bought it there. Here's a sample of the fabric: http://www.mujweb.cz/kultura/usmc/imacamo/07urb.gif http://www.recon.inten.pl/equip/tpattern/coat.jpg - A pic of the coat. I bought this stuff as soon as it came out of the backroom, but given as how the stuff's actually supposed to be experimental, I don't know why the local MRX (Norfolk Naval Base) had some in 2002 (they had one other set, a little small for me, quickly snatched by a Marine). I've fallen in love with it... ... so green... so pretty... so hypnotizing... so.... so.... I know I'm possessed.. and it's only fitting seeing how close I am to Canada <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The only problem is is that all the kind you can *legally* buy are from defected fabrics. Although they remove the defects, at least as I am aware of, it makes i thard to make pants and shirts out of the same role, and thus the color varies in them. This is the only thing stopping me from getting them. Oh yeah, do canadians have some form of desert cadpat? EDIT: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...6510854113&rd=1 Holy ****, that T-patter stuff is expensive, lol.
PlasticMag
Damn... I might have to sell mine... NAH! As more changes hands it gets in worse and worse condition. Mine is near-mint, and I'm not even cracking the box to check the condtition! Methinks this camo could end up like the uber-rare genuine WWII German camo...
Krazy L
I use marpat because I was one of the first civilian to get my hands on marine (I love haveing usmc friends) issue marpat bdus. I like it but I love my fleck more. It works good at close to medium range. but far away you look like a blob.
