I could go out with a video camera in London (or Sydney or Tokyo or anywhere else), film 100 people answering random general knowledge questions, pick the most stupid 10 or 12 and claim all Brits are thick. Its like the Michael Moore school of film editing selective data analysis...tut tut tut I blame Jay Leno for this ######! @cannonfodder: Most countries that have been occupied or have fought a war of independence (unlike Britain) don't tend to react too well to people taking the p!ss out of them. Especially when the effects are still being felt, e.g Northern Ireland, India/Pakistan etc. Same thing in Africa, where Europe basically destroyed the continent in the 19th & early 20th centuries, then legged it and now get all condescending about Africas problems. Its basically a pride thing...people are right to be proud that their country has overcome adversity and succeeded despite oppression, occupation, exploitation etc. The US is barely 200 years old, yet is the most powerful nation on the planet...pretty good going for a bunch of tea-dumping Indians IME if you joke about the "Brits" etc. some English tend to become fairly nasty in their comebacks without even realising it.
