101matt1
I don't know if it would be a good idea, or if it is even possible, but here goes. As many people have found, you can not link to Ebay.COM. If you try this, it appearently tries to find that item/link on Ebay.CO.UK. I assume that this is because Arnies is a UK site having UK servers. Is there any way to fix this? I know it's not a big deal, but I'm getting a little tierd of having to put a dash on each end of the URL, and it must be a small pain to copy and paste the URL. Like I said, it's no big deal, but if there is an easy (and needless to say, super cheap) way to fix this, I would like it. How does everyone else feel?
Sledge
You're not supposed to link to ebay.

Besides the point that the server is Stateside, not in the UK. http://www.ebay.com http://cgi.ebay.com/CATS-MEOW-VILLAGE-PRES...1QQcmdZViewItem EDIT: That's a directly copied URL from a random item and it works fine for me. So I have no idea what you're talking about. Also, what the hell do you need to link to Ebay so often for? Edited January 26, 2007 by Samm
joeking27
I bought a holster and belt from ehobby: (take off the dash at each end, copy, paste) http://cgi.ebay.com/U-S-Military-Army-BDU-...oQQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/COMPONENT-Molle-Drople...oQQcmdZViewItem Can anyone tell me any more about these? The holster looks pretty good, and is just a MOLLE platform with the pouches included. Can anyone tell me the brands of these? Thanks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They both go to ebay.com Edited January 26, 2007 by joeking27
PlasticMag
Yeah, I don't have any issues either. It's all you, dude.
Marlowe
As Sledge succinctly pointed out, linking to ebay to advertise posts is forbidden on pain of being wrapped by teaspoons, so please don't do it. As for linking to ebay in regular discussion (Eg discussing an auction you've seen etc), the links work fine for me.

Sledge
I don't know, I think being wrapped by teaspoons is worse.
101matt1
Samm, no, I don't know that much about networking. Sorry. I understand that you should not link to Ebay for promo. I don't know what the hell was happening. For a few weeks it would link to Ebay.co.uk for me... Oh well, I might have been doing something wrong, or something was going wrong with the technicals, or something. I don't know. But thanks to everyone for the help, and sorry about the post; if I had known it was doing it only for me I would have contacted a mod. Thanks again. And I have to link to Ebay so much because its so much cheaper.
